I think the Fulmer resignation helps our chances. It appears the current staff may have been letting MB slip away despite MB's interest in staying in-state. His response to Fulmer resignation was almost glad/excited to see who the new coach is. If it is Kiffin, Davis, or Gruden I think we get him. Kiffin recruited Patrick Turner and MB and him are friends. Davis and Gruden could only improve our chances as well. Just my opinion.

I think the last thing Marlon wants is to be is the second WR on a team. Not only that, I would think he would want to play against Julio and A.J. Green. Just my opinion, but I bet his "ideal" situation is one where he can be the #1 WR , have a good QB to throw to him, and somewhat close to home. I think Boyd helps our chances alot but it will come down to new coach.

With so many subplots this weekend (rise in the BCS standings, Spurrier's back, recent SEC East champs and a CBS game) Florida will definitely look to put on a show for those sitting in the South End Zone. Deerfield Beach quarterback/athlete Denard Robinson is expected to be in Gainesville for the game. Columbus, Ga., Carver linebacker Jarvis Jones should be as well. From what I've heard, Pensacola, Escambia running back Trent Richardson is "trying" to get to the game. However, he's said a couple times this season that he would "try" to make it to Gainesville, but has yet to actually do it. There was speculation that Memphis, Harding Academy receiver Marlon Brown would make it in, but he told me in a text message that he won't be here, but could visit in January.

I will be willing to bet the new coach has not been mentioned on this site more than a few times. I would like to have Kiffin. i hope it happens. I just think that is too simple. Davis, gruden, kelley, Edsill, Dantonio, are not coming to UT.

I like Turner Gill if not Kiffin.:crossfingers:

I used to go to a MAC school and saw his teams play a couple of times, He's a nice coach but his teams look alot like what we have now. Old school Nebraska. Not fit for the current SEC IMO. Plus his ability to recruit at this level is untested, and is a must. If he is announced, expect most of this class to decommit, UT needs and will get a big name. They need butts in the seats immediately.

Billy Tucker: Brown is still very much open last I talked to him. Is looking to announce on signing day with in-state Tenn. in the lead in my opinion if they land a high profiled coach

From MB's top 5, it is obvious that he is wanting to go to a top school and win championships. The fact he even had us in the top 5 despite our recent failures shows some loyalty to the state. If the new coach is one who will make UT better, sounds like he is ours. And even if he can't play basketball at UT, he will thoroughly enjoy the hype around the Bball program, going to the games, and hanging/playing with the players.

January is going to be crazy. Right after we get a new coach we will see who is still interested, gain interest from new prospects, and try to close with a new coach and a top 10 class in February. And not to mention, Bball will be in full force and the success is going to feel good considering all that has happened.

The anticipation is getting intense. I wake up every morning and check the boards, and radio. With the new addition to the family and the coach situation, I've lost sleep

Marlon Brown, he dropped to a 4 star recruit according to Rivals. And like number 48 on the board few weeks ago he was #1 receiver available. Did he get hurt?
