announcing that he will commit the day after NSD is rather prima donna-ish....IMO.could not disagree more. what has he done to be labeled a prima donna? nothing. he's a kid trying to decide where he will spend the next four years of his life, not to mention choosing an institution that he will forever be linked with. cut him some slack. Im sure you had it all together at 17 years old right?
You can read a lot into a person by watching how they play the game.
he's a kid thats being hounded by the media on every side. you guys expect way to much. You say he's lazy, but in reality you dont really know anything about his work ethic. until he plays at the next level you have no idea how he will respond to college coaching, period.
Usually, I consider one that weighs all of their options before making a decision very wise.
What if this was an Ivy League scholarship and Princeton, Yale and Harvard were competing for Marlon. We would consider it ridiculous if he didn't visit all three schools.
Eric Berry (who as you know is a legacy recruit) was an exception to the rule, but for the most part, most athletes that visit schools give glowing reviews after their visits. It is all part of the game.
If I was 17 and had a free trips to college campuses around the country I would use every visit I was allowed.
I dont get why people are making assumptions and bashing the kid. He looks to be a good player and good student. It seems like there is pre-emptive tearing down of Brown because some people think we wont get him. And yes we need a Kelly Washington now, I dont see any other huge, fast NFL recievers on the team.
Totally agree on putting a lot of thought into a big decision, and I don't have a problem with him taking all the visits he can.
I don't have an agenda against the guy, just noting my concern that he seems like a very "me-oriented" guy with questionable work ethic who's going to be thrust into a highly competitive and demanding team sport scenario.
