I certainly don't follow this as closely as you do Rex...but I think MB made his decision months ago.
I think Georgia has been the leader since Fulmer was canned.
Marlon Brown, WR, Memphis/Harding Academy
Brown
Player rank (position rank): 24 (3)
Considering: Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Ohio State and Ole Miss.
Front-runner: By all accounts, Tennessee seems to be leading for Brown. Lane Kiffin has made bringing Brown to Knoxville a top priority; he was on a plane to see Brown within hours of officially taking the UT job. The Vols' location and the chance to play early could be key parts of Kiffin's pitch.
Scouts Inc. says: Brown measures close to 6-6, and he knows how to use his frame. His athleticism makes him very difficult to handle off the line and on contested matchups downfield. He can outmuscle defenders for the ball, and his leaping ability makes it difficult to gain any position on him.
Rex, you said you were at the CEntral Region Championship in Richmond, Va. Varina vs. Meadowbrook. Moses last HS game. Did you happen to see the WR for Varina - Bobby Smith? What did you think of him. I have seen him play several times and think he is a great athletew that fits the mold of CLK WR's. I know this is off topic but I havent heard of anyone mentioning this kid here.
ESPN doesn't know what they are talking about....I think it will be down to TN and UGA and it will be huge for him to get along/connect with whomever we hire for WR and that coach to be in place before his visit! Don't give up yet boys!
What do u mean espn dosent know what they are talking about? They just said we are the front runners. Its between us and georgia, but marlon does have intrest in the other schools as well. Thats why they listed them.
its only between us and ga. He wants to be close to home. so you would think he would go to UT or memphis, but hes got georgia on his radar. Some people say he stays in TN b/c of distance, but im not so sure. how far ga from memphis? it might be close to the same in distance. Im sure i could be wrong.
