Marlon Brown

Marlon doesn't have crap on AJ.

See here: He has the most amazing catching ability and body control I've seen in awhile. Going backwards across his body in midair is amazing.

Also check out 1:05, 1:30, 1:39, 2:01, 4:13, etc here: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Cc9xk33GasI

AJ has the best body control (in midair especially to be able to be running one way and stretch his body the exact opposite way and make amazing catches that are behind him) and pass catching ability I've seen out of a young guy - he just needs to add some weight and he'll be a super star in the NFL.

You can't argue with his stats though...his physical stats I mean. 6'5" 205 4.5-40

No doubt! Can't wait to see what he could do with our S&C coach as well. Maybe add about 10-15 lbs of muscle and possibly even improve his 40 time. Although 40 times can be overrated. Either way, he needs to be a VOL!!!! I am curious about what class he played in, was it 3A? How did his team do in the playoffs? I'm sure this has been discussed in the previous 1000 pages, but I'm just too lazy to search through all that.

Harding Academy, its D2 1a. Its arguably the worst class in the entire state. As far as the playoffs go, they lost the state title game.

Thanks. That definitely explains the size of the kids he was playing against and possibly some of their poor tackling. You think he may get alligator arms when he crosses the middle in a practice at UT and sees EB zeroing in for a "Moreno"? My only concern is his level of competition he has played against, and his need for attention. Ok, thats 2 things.

Didn't look bad against the best competition in the COUNTRY in the AA game.

We just don't know what the new coaches have up their sleeves. Would it be good to get Brown? Yes. I think the level of competition (and our new coaches would light a fire under him). Are they really sold on Brown? Would it kill our class not to get him?

I think our coaches will get a good class despite the short time. Personally, I don't care the number of stars, just that they want to be here and they'll leave everything on the field. They will be coached up! I wouldn't mind to see a few 5 star suprises on NSD, though!

So, Marlon, come be a Vol and show us the star you can be!! There is nothing like the feeling you'll have when you hear us cheering for you on Saturdays!

The level of competition isn't a problem for Georgia, Ohio State, Florida, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, USCw, and Notre Dame...

I don't understand why everyone makes this such a big deal.

Marlon is a top priority for a reason folks.

Good post. I don't think there is any stadium in the country that can match the thrill for a player when running thru the T! Best in the country hands down. I really hope that Marlon gets to have that experience for himself!
