Marlon Brown

i scored a 23 on my act. I went to school with a kid that scored a 34 and got a free ride to college. He stayed for 2 weeks and quit and works at wal-mart now. The test score just shows the chances you are to do well in school. You use it as a gage to look at but doesn't show the whole picture.

Colleges just use the act and the sat in fact because of the differences in funding, curricula and difficulty putting US high schools together. It is like a Straight bench mark colleges use for evaluation of a possible student

GPA and standardized tests are used together to determine likelyhood to succeed, and rightfully so. All I was saying was that if you are set to have a college scholly, don't you think that you would study like heck to get the best ACT score that you can?

They have practice tests, classes, PC programs........ all to get you ready for the tests. It blows my mind when a 3-5 star prospect registers a score of 14 or 15. I don't care who you are, if you can learn a football system well enough to be rated that high, then you can put in a little effort and score higher than a 15.

it is ridiculous, but football ability and academics have very little correlation.

I never said that they should go on to get thier masters because they are good at football, just that they should have the ability to score a sufficient number with enough effort if neccessary.

yeah you would think football stars would try at least a little bit to be able to play for college and possibly the NFL. (especially if they want to go to UT):D

wrong. He said he wants a young proven talented QB. Terell Pryor anyone? I could see where he would love Gerogia or Miss, but I just know he ain't comin here?

Brown isn't looking to play in a spread offense... Pryor would not be able to throw it enough to him...
He's not going to OSU..

There's no proven QB at UGA. Cox doesn't fit that label. That being said, I think it's a UGA-UT photo finish.

I think he goes to UT. It will make the biggest splash with the new coaches and this being the staffs number one target. He wants the spot light and he will get that at rocky top.

IMO Ohio State is last on the list.. He's already said in previous interviews he loves the SEC...

If Brown doesnt attend UT.. He will be UGA or Ole Miss bound..

source?

Last I heard, everybody (Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia, Ohio State) is even.

This isn't your daddy's Ole Miss anymore. They will be competing for the SEC West next year. I think Houston Nutt will do a really good job there.
