Martin should do the right thing

No, it's stupid. No coach is going to resign in a 6-3 season after a loss like that, and if he did, he might as well change professions because he'd never get a job again.

You can call it an emotional, knee-jerk post, but that doesn't excuse it from being stupid.

It isn't stupid because Pearl would take this talent to an elite 8 or final 4 but when you watch Martin they look like the Keystone Cops. Two of their losses were to Xavier and UTEP for God's sake. With the talent they have it is inexcusable.

And now I get why you say it's not stupid, because you don't even understand why his post is stupid.

Also, do you people remember when y'all lost your damn mind when our mediocre football coach left the team at the end of a season? Y'all acted as though he just punched your mother and kicked your dog. How would this be a better situation to have our mediocre basketball coach leave in the MIDDLE of the season?

Yes, but Fulmer was fired after 17 seasons. He's talking about Martin doing the right thing and stepping down. Of course during these times of big contracts it will never happen. Martin has to understand with the talent he has this year he should be undefeated. He is a very sorry basketball coach and never should have been hired. What were the administration thinking?

Nice try, Fulmer was not the football coach I was referring to. I'm talking about the one al Davis dedicated an entire press conference and slide show to explain how bad he was.

1.),He's talking about Kiffin leaving and how our fanbase looked like a bunch of fools burning mattresses over it.

2.) You say undefeated, but UT would've played different teams in the Battle for Atlantis if they had beaten UTEP. They very easily could be 5-4 right now if they won that one. Completely illogical to judge it that way.

If you don't understand why it was a stupid post, then no explanation is going to help because it's likely too logical for your brain to handle.

That's your simple logic explanation? Seems like someone needs a review of logic.

Yes I'm saying with Pearl as the coach they would have won the "Battle for Atlantis" and they'd be undefeated right now so not illogical.

Your post doesn't really compute. People burned mattresses because they liked Kiffin and didn't want him to leave. We're talking about a basketball coach who almost no one would be sad to see leave.

Thank you! What this guy cant understand is that Martin ISNT THE GUY to lead this team to the promised land! Why cant you sunshine pumpers see that, my god?!!

I think a lot of people realize it, they just think our coach abandoning the team 1/3 through the season is a bad idea. It is a great way to kill recruiting or make the job look unnattractive to other coaching candidates.

I would take any of them over Armani Moore. And Tatum and hall over Richardson.

You can tell me with a straight face you'd take Hall over Richardson and Tatum was one dimensional. He could shoot and that's about it. Richardson, can play defense and rebound 10x better than Tatum could and his shot is improving. Tatum's knees really held him back on what type of player he could have been though. But him and Hall looked unmotivated every game at least Moore and Richardson show some fire and look like they want to be on the court.

I can understand that but just imagine how miserable the rest of the season is going to be. We have to sit through this for another two months. At least if he did resign we could then start to have some hope and it would give DUFUS plenty of time to do a coaching search. Listen, I know it isn't going to happen but if by some miracle it did happen it would not be a bad thing.

Hey Sandvol....there's your explanation as to why the original post is stupid.

See? Not hard to understand.

How are we going to conduct a quality coaching search when the majority of coaching candidates would still be employed?

Wow. He just explained why it would be a bad thing, and apparently you still don't think it will be.

I'm 100% glad you have no say.

Maybe not hall over Richardson, but i would take any of them over Armani Moore. Moore is not a basketball player he is a superb athlete that cannot dribble, shoot, pass or contribute anything offensively.

Wow, you need to practice your debating skills a little. Don't mean to offend but to come on the board and call someone stupid and then have such poor debating skills isn't good.

They wouldn't need to hire a coach in the middle of the season. You probably couldn't do that. But, as inept as Hart appeared during the football coaching search I think he needs all the time he can get.

P.S.-Even if he came out and just said he was resigning at the end of the season it would give us some hope and give DUFUS more time.

Once again, coaches nor ADs from other schools would allow us to talk to their coaches in the middle of the darn season.
