BLM Accounting Gimmick further delays disclosure of its $60M Bankroll

The national organization for Black Lives Matter appears to have used an unusual accounting maneuver to further delay reporting what became of its $60 million bankroll from 2020, a move one charity watchdog called "the worst transparency issue" she has ever seen.

Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, the charity that serves as the face of the national BLM movement, quietly changed its 12-month accounting cycle to July through June. By going from a calendar to a fiscal year, BLM has until mid-May to report what it did with the millions that flooded into its coffers beginning in the second half of 2020. The move enabled BLM to report a sparse, short-year Form 990 to the IRS that covered its activities during only the first half of 2020, when the entity was entirely dormant as a fiscally sponsored project of the California charity Thousand Currents. It was also the period just before BLM exploded as a cause celeb following George Floyd's racially charged death.

AmazonSmile, which gives a portion of eligible purchases on the online shopping site to charities, they said it had to temporarily suspend the group today. Unfortunately, this organization fell out of compliance with the rules of charity giving in several states. We suspend them from the program until they come back into compliance.

Amazon Suspends Black Lives Matter from charity program as controversy swirls around group's finances

Amazon’s charity website has suspended the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (BLMGNF) amid questions about the group’s financial transparency.

AmazonSmile, which donates 0.5% from purchases to designated nonprofits, still lists dozens of local Black Lives Matter (BLM) chapters among its thousands of approved charities, but noticeably absent is the BLMGNF, the national arm of the BLM movement.

A BLM Bail Fund Is Freeing Heinous Criminals in Kentucky. Now, the GOP Has a Plan To Stop It.

In Kentucky, a Black Lives Matter bail fund has paid to release violent rapists, murderers, and even a would-be political assassin. Now, Republicans in the state are moving to rein in the practice.

Kentucky legislators Jason Nemes and John Blanton are behind the effort. The Republicans are pushing two bills that would forbid bail funds from paying to release certain arrestees and allow judges to deny bail for particularly heinous criminals. The move comes just days after a Louisville bail fund paid $100,000 to free Quintez Brown, a prominent liberal activist who is charged with attempting to murder Jewish Democratic mayoral hopeful Craig Greenberg in his campaign office.

Thanks to support from some of the biggest names in national Democratic politics, the Louisville Community Bail Fund—which is tied to the city's Black Lives Matter chapter—has raised millions of dollars since its inception in 2019 to secure the release of local arrestees. But the group is hardly focused on low-level offenders. Since the summer of 2020, the fund has bailed out dozens of repeat criminals accused of reprehensible crimes.

It paid $25,000, for example, to bail out accused rapist Austen Bush, a registered sex offender who served six years in prison on child pornography charges. Bush had a history of parole violations and was considered a "risk to the victim if released." The Louisville Community Bail Fund came to his aid anyway. During his time out of prison, Bush again violated his parole by contacting his victim to threaten to kill her. When police went to rearrest the 26-year-old in October 2020, he hopped a fence and fled into oncoming traffic.

Minnesota MIDDLE SCHOOL Students Given Tips for BLM Protests, White students told not to speak

Guide stated, 'ESPECIALLY if you’re White, if they’re offering the megaphone for anyone to speak, it’s not for you'

A student newspaper at a Minneapolis middle school advised students who want to participate in Black Lives Matter protests to "wear nondescript clothing," refrain from taking pictures of vandals' faces and, if they're White, avoid talking into a megaphone.

The Feb. 15 issue of the Rhino Report, a student newspaper at Justice Page Middle School, featured a front-page article from a student, titled, "Protest Tips and Etiquette." In it, the student encouraged others to join protests surrounding the police-involved fatal shooting of 22-year-old Amir Locke, which the student claimed was "murder," though an investigation is still underway and no charges have been brought against law enforcement.

"When it comes to Black Lives Matter protests, if you’re not Black, remember that you’re there to show your support and amplify Black voices," the first tip read. "ESPECIALLY if you’re White, if they’re offering the megaphone for anyone to speak, it’s not for you. You are here to listen and to show support."

EXCLUSIVE: Black Lives Matter blew $12.7 Million of the $60 Million in donations it received in 2020 on Consultants and Lawyers - including high-power legal firm retained by Hillary Clinton during her failed campaign - IRS filings reveal

  • The Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation blew $12.7M of its 2020 donations on 'professional fees', documents obtained by DailyMail.com reveal
The most high-profile Black Lives Matter group in the nation spent almost a quarter of its donations in 2020 on consultants and lawyers, DailyMail.com can reveal.

The Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (BLMGNF) submitted a statement of its revenue and expenses for the year while applying for tax-exempt, nonprofit status in August 2020.

IRS documents obtained by DailyMail.com show the group blew $12.7million out of the $60million in donations it received following the outcry over George Floyd's death on 'professional fees.'

The costs refer to accountants, lawyers, consultants, and contractors utilized by the organization, which includes the high-powered law firm Hillary Clinton retained for her 2016 presidential campaign - where attorneys bill $750 an hour.

The foundation also planned to spend the same amount on professional fees in 2021, the documents, exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, show.

The figures come amid heightened scrutiny of the foundation, which famously grew into one of the largest international movements against racial injustice in mid-2020 and is now facing calls for financial transparency.

Earlier this month, the California Department of Justice threatened to hold BLMGNF's leaders personally accountable if they did not hand over information about its finances for the 2020 tax year.

In a financial report released in February 2021, BLMGNF confirmed it took in $90million throughout 2020, distributed grants to its partner organizations, and had $60million remaining in its accounts.

Democrats Can't distance themselves from Black Lives Matter because They're Running It

Over at National Review, Rich Lowry wrote a fine piece this week about the embarrassment that is the Black Lives Matter organization and why Democrats would be wise to keep their distance from it. He failed, however, to mention an important fact: Several top Democrats are now literally running BLM.

The Washington Examiner revealed last week that prominent Democratic lawyer Marc Elias and former White House political director Minyon Moore, both longtime Clinton allies, have taken on key leadership roles with BLM. Filings from the organization show Elias represents the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation through Elias Law Group, and Moore, who is also advising President Joe Biden’s Supreme Court confirmation team, is now a member of BLM’s board of directors.

The reason this matters is twofold. First, it proves BLM is directly engaging known Democratic political operatives, undermining its claim that it functions as a charity. And second, it shows Democrats are actively trying to direct BLM and help it deal with the financial transparency scandal it finds itself in.

Boston BLM Leader and her husband Hit with Federal Fraud, Conspiracy Charges

Monica Cannon-Grant, a Black Lives Matter (BLM) leader in Boston, and her husband, Clark Grant, were hit with an 18-page federal indictment for fraud and conspiracy on Tuesday.

Federal authorities allege that Cannon-Grant and Grant have defrauded a large sum of donor dollars out of over $1 million in grants and donations given to their nonprofit, Violence in Boston, which aims to help violence survivors in the city.

Cannon-Grant, a prominent BLM organizer, was arrested outside of her Beantown home Tuesday and declined to comment at the courthouse after being released on personal recognizance, meaning she'll remain free without bail but with a written promise to appear in court.
