Really? That was my highschool. I'm only 22, so I don't remember the 80s... Grew up a red bank fan... And went to the state championship in 2000? I've been to several pro and college games... But that no doubt was an awesome game because of all the snow... Was unbelievable.... And I don't even like highschool football.

you and I both know the only divisions that matter are 5 and 6A and division 1 or whatever the larger private school division is. And one season of state championships doesn't mean anything. Middle tn has more quality teams as well.

this is an opinion, not a fact that someone just knows. i do not agree with, or "know", what your stating.

The point was there is crappy football played in 1-4A and most half decent 5 and 6A teams would wipe the floor with a lot of the good teams in the lower divisions.

CGQ must be reading this thread...freaking pounded poor old Heritage 69-6.

Do you see what you trolling caused?

Baylor (East TN TM) just "clobbered" Ensworth. This year's state championship games are going to be interesting. Sorry, but I'm picking East TN teams, again, to win the majority of State Championships. Can I get a "Maryville" vote?

They are still cleaning up the damage. It will take weeks to calculate the losses. This is what happens when you piss CGQ off.

"Stock Rising: Maryville is being pushed by four other teams for the top spot in Tennessee. Three of them could be ranked next week." -from Rivals

"They have no weaknesses," said Oak Ridge High School football coach Scott Blade, who called this Maryville team the best he has seen yet. "I've had a chance to play them seven times in the last six seasons and they keep getting better. I'll take it a step further — they're probably the best team I've witnessed in my six seasons as head coach." -from Knox News Sentinel

They deserve it, they are playing as dominant as I have seen them play in years. FHS should be a good test.

I would like to see Maryville and Greeneville play. Maryville would probably win, but it would be a good game to watch.

I can't wait for the playoffs. Lets see what Maryville is like when they are tested week after week.
