Mass shootings in Maine

His .gov handlers have already offed him and his body won't be found.
Honestly, if he just recently started hearing voices then that’s incredibly odd. I wonder what caused it. He is probably too old to start showing the signs of schizophrenia all the sudden.

If you're going to rely on the State to codify the Rights that protect your guns and life, it seems a bit disingenuous to poor mouth reliance on the State for enforcing said rights.
i am not sure what you are trying to say?

I am bad mouthing their unequal application of the law. that is worth doing no matter which side of the 2A you fall on.

I thought so too until my wife's older sister started developing signs. Seeing a little girl in the bathroom that wasn't there. Aliens in her feet that talked to her and wanted to kidnap her. She was in her mid 40's. She wasted away and died earlier this year after suffering with it for 4 years.

She was diagnosed schizophrenic. Most cases develop in childhood or by early 20's though...... But not always.

Sorry to hear that buddy.

It’s just extremely rare that it happens. My condolences. That’s a tough situation.

Man, that's terrible, sorry to hear that. Very unusual presentation.

Back to this incident, it appears this shooter's abandoned car had the probable weapon used in the attack in it and a note that supposedly reads like a suicide note.

I'd be interested if that note contains language suggesting whether it was written before or after the attack because I don't trust this psycho not to try to foul the trail.

You're going to die, you write a note, and you don't use the .308 right there to sign it?

It doesn't add up for me.
Has it been established it was an AR 10?

Stupid comment. All of these mass shootings involved assault rifles. It's beyond obvious that assault rifles should be banned in America--and it's a national disgrace and embarrassment that they haven't been because we've got a large number of idiotic, irresponsible hicks in this country and their gutless, pathetic GOP representatives, who simply grift for NRA contributions. Weasels.
When you spout that lefty verbiage concerning the scary black guns you come across as an idiot on the subject.

An assault rifle is a heavily regulated weapon issued to the military which has selective fire capabilities so they are already banned in America for all intents and purposes as those who can afford the tens of thousands of dollars in FED fees to obtain one aren’t likely to go shoot up a pool hall with one.

An AR-15 is a semi-automatic, one trigger pull equals one round fired sporting rifle available in various calibers. Mechanics wise it’s simply a decked out version of a basic rifle just like any other semi-auto rifle.

There are plenty of competent gun owners around that can cycle a lever-action or bolt action rifle so fast your head will swim.

It was odd. It came on quiet and then toward the last year and a half like a freightrain. She was in a hospital for the last 6 months because she started to act out in irrational ways. Very childlike, her mother was talking care of her until she became uncontrollable and accidently knocked her down in a manic moment. Crazy stuff, mental illnesses like that are scary.

One thing she never really presented with was religious aspects of her psychosis which is often present with most schizophrenics.

Was watching my son's baseball game this past weekend (14u). One kid on the opposing team was the mouthiest kid I've ever seen. Chirped the whole 7 innings about how great he was. Im sure even his teammates were embarrassed for him. First thing that came to my mind was, that kid has never been punched in the nose before. Times have changed.

We've raised almost 2 generations now that have no fear of getting punched in the nose.

Have posted this here before, but I raised my son to never, ever disrespect a man unless he intended to whip his azz, because if he ran his mouth that man would whip him. In my profession, that actually happens. Have dropped tools and thrown hands more than once...and seen it by others many times. He got in 1 fight in HS, and wasnt punished at home. The kid and him had never really gotten along and honestly i think my son was scared of him until his junior year of HS and they finally did their thing. Neither of them actually got hurt, which is the case with the vast majority of fist fights especially at school where you have about a minute to dance before it gets broken up anyway. Best I can tell, he absorbed what i was trying to teach him about being humble and meek, and keeping his trap shut. He was pretty small until he started lifting weights junior year. He has lifted with dedication since then though and now at 22 is a beast for his size. He weighs 175 or 180 like me but is stronger than me now. I watched him bench 225 x 10reps a couple weeks ago with free weights, bringing the bar to a dead stop at the bottom on his chest. I couldnt do 10 reps at his age, and cant do 10 reps now lol. He is stronger than me finally. Luckily he has still only been in that 1 fight in his life though so I doubt he can whip me yet haha. That day will surely come though if it hasn't already. I would like to believe he respects me enough that he would never raise a hand at me regardless. I know that I would have never dreamed of taking a swing at my Dad or my Pappaw. Loved and respected them far too much for that.

So you want to essentially ban all semi-automatic firearms which includes rifles, handguns and shotguns because
semi-automatic is the function they all share.🤦‍♀️

You are talking way over their heads . Lol

Seeing various reports that the crazy shooter used his deer hunting rifle, which appears to be a .308 Ruger SFAR with a thermal scope.

It’s not unheard of, but normally it has been diagnosed by 35 or so. Most of your issues with schizophrenia are considered to be due to an excess of dopamine so anything causing excess dopamine could cause similar symptoms.

Amphetamine use is a pretty common cause of hallucinations due to excess dopamine. More rare but you can have dopamine excreting tumors also.

I’d say most likely answer is he is/was (idk if he was taken alive today), a schizophrenic and simply avoided treatment until recently. Although a late onset or amphetamine use are both possibilities
