IMO, the response by BPV wasn't to say that the threat posed by these home-grown guys is equal in magnitude, just that it blows the bottom out of the all terrorists are Muslim theory.

Don't need to, are these guys going around the world wrecking havoc? Were they responsibe for 9/11? The attacks on our soldiers in Irag or Afghanistan? And just wrecking havoc world wide.

The famous McVeigh arguement, wasn't that like 20 years ago? How many McVeigh type attacks by anti-govt nut jobs since? I will answer for you 0. Ayers has ties to the second most famous muslim in the world right now.

I would be willing to bet the Tamil Tigers executed an attack this week, if not multiple times already. By sheer volume of attacks and membership, they outperform anything going on in the middle east right now.

There were plenty of anarchist nuts whipped into a frenzy when Bush was in office and you have not evidence to support that there are any more or they are any more radical now than they were 1 year ago. And have they committed any terrorists acts? If they do I will call them out as terrorists. But all they really do is complain, break windows and just act stupidly. While some of their acts are criminal they are not terror, up to now.
