Never said that... it's just my opinion. It is a complete waste of time thinking this guy will come to UT. Look at all the facts. The guy and his family are fully committed to USC. What else do we need to know?

He is not 100% committed to USC until he signs the letter of intent. That is a fact.

I know its a real longshot to get this kid, but I appreciate that Kiffin is still going after him.

I agree that he most likely will not come but going after him is not a waste of time. Kiffin realizes that part of getting UT back on top will be putting UT in everybody's mind. We need to be visibly going after all the high-level recruits that we can.

Exactly.

Barkley won't be signing a LOI. That is a fact.

He will be enrolling at USC in a couple weeks.

Wow, I can't believe we are still talking about this. No one is saying Kiffin shouldn't do his job and go after the guy. Just that it's a waste of time discussing it on this board when it's not likely to happen.

"Will enroll at USC in January 2009." From his ESPN Recruiting profile last updated 12/6/2008.

We must be expecting he will develop cold feet with USC.

This sounds like a good time to pull out USC's QB depth chart.
(NOTE: This discussion will be on a seperate thread)

ROLE PLAYING OPPORTUNITY:

Be Coach Kiff in pulling the impossible for this kid:

GO TO: USC Trojans QB depth thread

Also dissect the depth chart from top to bottom.

GOOD LUCK
