IMO we would have a better shot with him than Murray. He is a pro-style QB which is what Kiffin is gunning for and he is also not rated as high as Murray so maybe it would be an easy sell to tell him that his shot to play soon is much better at UT. But that is JMO. Personally I feel like all of these big name QB's that are already committed are purely pipe dreams with no real foundation to stand on.

Any way we could merge this into a "possible new QB" thread. People are getting their Barkley's and Mettenbergrs and Murrays mixed up, and I haven't even seen any solid evidence we're in on any of them.

Personally I hope we get Moses Alipate just because it would be funny listening to Bob try to say it repeatedly.

Like I've said numerous times, we will not land a highly rated QB. There will be no 4-5* QB's from this class.

Point is If Kiffin can get the top recruit in the nation to visit, even if we dont get him it sets the tone for next year. Pub. makes a lot of difference. Who was the last #1 recruit in the nation to visit us?

Did Pryor visit us last year when Cut was here? I'm pretty sure Derrick Williams visited us when he was the number 1.

I have yet to see a source that says Barkley is for sure coming for a visit. I assume this is all speculation, right?

i know its a pointless subject but i did read it straight from their site.

"The NLI is a voluntary program with regard to both institutions and student-athletes. No prospective student-athlete or parent is required to sign the National Letter of Intent, and no institution is required to join the program."

Longs shot to even get him to visit but shows us what kiffin is willing to do for TN

go Kiffin and GO VOLS!!!!

Captain Barkley of the Vol Navy is setting sail.
