Maui fire. What is going on?

I think it was before that. Doesn't rally mater. She's a Q-tard and should be mocked by everyone. And if you can't mock her then you are a huge part of the problem

You’re not wrong, but it is one of those train wrecks you just have to watch. It can’t be helped because each train wreck iwith her is more fantastic than the last.

I guess these guys are starting "back fires" to help stop the spread of wildfires coming in ....

It's time to stop posting, grandpa. Fish and game burns back problematic weeds and grasses all the time to prevent it from overrunning lakes and help maintain good habitat for the fishery as well as passable boat lanes. Twitter is not healthy for people like you who have difficulty filtering out idiocy.

250 human corpses with bullet holes???

BS.

Although, if I were about to burn to death and I had a gun handy, I would choose the quicker option for death.

Yes the guy in the video is saying this is false information that's been put out.
I deleted it.

I've been told these fires are intentionally started by BlackRock....

The 2nd largest shareholders of Hawaii Electric, which will be forced into bankruptcy, is Blackrock....

Might need to work on your conspiracy logic a little more

Is that a thing? @Grand Vol

I figured you would have some experience with this, both professionally and personally. Are utilities expected to cut power to areas where its dry & strong winds are present?

That seems like its own disaster. Going to broil grandma in the heat.

It can be... more of a California thing, but also happens in Florida and other hurricane prone areas. The lines can be deactivated, but like you said, it's a problem when they do.

It's greatly dependent on the severity of the winds to be honest. The problem you run into is not every company has that in their plans.

One thing to add is the grid ****ing sucks (you know this being an engineer) and a lot of power companies are paying serious catch up on trying to update old and failing lines. Cali actually is doing good work on this (helps when you have a billion dollar fine) and other states are looking into the fire protection and mitigation efforts for their grid.

But redundancy isn't easy to build in.

What a competent country would be doing is ramping up it's domestic cache of engineers, skilled techs and laborers to revamp the nation's aging and failing infrastructure. That would be a huge boost to our economy now and in the future. Give a sense of purpose and pride to people.
