With these fans man we deserve nothing more than a 4-8 season I hope for one that is what happens then maybe some of you "fans" will go away. Learn to be supportive. Until you "KNOW" why CJG decided to go to FSU just chill.

i agree on what we deserve, but they wont go away. they will just say i told you so and bash any coach we ever have unless its gruden or saban. i personally hope we dominate so all these CBJ haters will have to shut up and eat crow

The man had 31 days to recruit while keeping the class that came in, you've really gotta consider this class a push. Cheer up guy and get on board or off board, train is leaving soon.

Yeah, nothing happens in February that you could judge a college coaching staff on, right?

Once again, if you feel like we should all reserve judgement until after the first game, then why are you on this board?

In my mind, we've seen Butch Jones do two very important things worth evaluating - hire a staff and sign a recruiting class. Neither were very impressive. Doesn't mean we should call for his head, but it makes more sense to judge him on staff moves and recruiting signings than to take some quotes he made at a press conference or a breakfast and proclaim how great you feel about this hire (which is what most of this board does).

I don't get hung up on coach speak. But I am a firm believer of "say what you mean and mean what you say" form of attitude. That's a cutcliff quote. Not a lot of things make me upset except when people don't follow up and do what they say.

fall time this year. he will find out this isn't the big east. he couldn't even keep it close against dools that says alot. i really just don't expect alot out of jones, reminds me alot of the guy we just fired. talks alot little result. best staff garbage, recruiting surprises garbage, now he is going to change the attitude of UT football. i guess we will see but i will wager against it. he just let our second best recruiter walk and i'm pretty sure he will hire a scrub to replace him.

The only "wow factor" I need is wins against SEC opponents. If he wins, recruits will come and Jay Graham will regret his decision. If we lose, recruits won't come and CJG will be glad he left his alma-mater where he was loved.

Either way, CJG is no VFL. If you believe and cherish something you don't just pick up and leave it for a better deal. That would be like leaving your Wife because your neighbor got a boob job. It's tempting but your not supposed to do it.

Exactly. People judge him on what he says and not his results. I'm suprised more aren't upset that coach jones didn't evaluate Jay better. W/o him there would have been no one that transitioned the team from Dooley to Jones. Everyone knows he's an elite recruiter that the kids loved. And I'll go on record right now and say that our new rb coach won't compare with Jay. Sad situation.
