Maymon Should be 100 percent by July

you may be right but i could have sworn that CCM said he was already 100%. Well here's to hoping that he is 100% at start of season.

In March, Martin said, "Maymon is pain free in workouts, adding, “If you look at his body, it’s probably better than when he was playing.”

In the story about him deciding to return for a junior year, Jarnell Stokes said, "The two played alongside one another on Friday. Stokes said it was the first time he’d seen Maymon play since a setback from a 2012 offseason surgery.

“I was amazed,” Stokes said. “He still can move and take over the game like he used to.”

Neither comment is "he's back 100%", but both would have led you to believe he was further along than the story yesterday indicated.

Till he is back to running dfor his cardio, it's gonna be tough to lose weigh. I hope for his sake he is able to drop some lbs. Knee problems suck. But, knee problems while your carrying extra lbs, makes the recovery process even harder.

The trainers and nutrition group need to put him on a diet if they already haven't. He's a natural big guy, but he could still be losing a little weight on the right diet.

I think you're right about Martin. I think he said that but I never believed him. I think that's just Martin's attitude towards injury. He doesn't like to talk about being less than 100%.

Well, I was jumping on your case for giving the guy the business, then I jumped on Dougie's case for giving his usual business.

Well, as it turns out, misrepresentation and dishonesty is Diesel's usual business too. The Shannon Hale fabrication, as it were, is not an isolated incident for him. So, the situations are actually more alike than different in this case. Just bustin your chops anyways.

All good dude. I won't be trusting his reports, but all is well between DD and I, personally.

I thought it was interesting that he said he needs to lose some weight. Maymon lives somewhere close to me, so I see him at least a couple times a week, and from his pictures, he looks like he's already noticeably slimmer from the last time he played. TIFWIW, I don't know maybe the unis make him look bigger.

And Stokes says his body looks as good or better than it did before the injury. Strange indeed.

Speaking of Stokes, his offseason training seems to he centered around explosiveness. I'm pretty excited about that, maybe he'll start dunking those 2 footers instead of missing little lay ins.

What do you mean?

Meaning that Maymon is giving excuses for himself or even coach CCM if he doesn't perform on a a level of what is expected from him.

What would happen if he said his leg was 100% but only averaged 4 pts, 3 rebounds a game? We'd be like WTF?

If he never said anything about his leg and he produces the same result, we would all say "Hmm...maybe his leg is still bothering him."

You are way over thinking this

Excuses? More like being realistic about coming back after not playing ball for a year and a half.

I'm not giving Maymon an excuse! He is! I'm just stating the facts. Why bother even saying he's not going to be 100 percent soon. Even if he's only 80% he should be on the floor.
