Maymon Story GoVolsExtra!

This season was considered the most successful season in UT history. It wouldn't have happened without him.
Yeah, God forbid we had used his scholarship on someone who could contribute on a more consistent basis.

I assume the coaches you feel are competent consistently utilize every scholarship player on the roster and have no scholarship players who are nonfactors, right hat?

Hat can you be a little positive for a minute.... Everytime somebody brings something up on here hat comes in with some negative comment

So you think he will have performed better in his 2 years than Daniel West in 4?

I don't know how he'll perform next year, or how Daniel West would have, should have, could have performed in a play at Clarence Brown Theater, but I do know he played well down the stretch, the boys went to the Elite Eight, and Yay! That is fact!

Bobby Maze wore out his welcome at OU in large part because he refused to play defense. It's not like he was UT's version of Gary Payton while he was here. I think Byron Eaton just blew by him again while I was typing this response.

On the positive side, Maymon won't be playing as big a role as Maze had to the past couple of years. We would go no further than where Maze took us. Maymon, while not the most ideal candidate, will be relied on to provide some toughness minutes.. that's it.

Who? There's a shortage of legit big guys out there. Look at how UK's scrambling around right now. And for the most part, UT will not beat out UCONN, UK, Kansas, Duke, Cuse, UNC etc. for top post players unless we start to make a name for that position. Harris will help tremendously in that aspect.

He brought us excitement, trash talk, swagger, hope, and Janzen Jackson. He was also brought up in a culture of winning and wasn't afraid to piss in the face of Slive and the 'AA. He also surrounded himself with the best.
Kiffin understood how important recruiting was. I'm not sure Dooley does. He at least doesn't understand it as well as Kiffin.

I can relate far better to Kiffin than Dooley, which is personal preference.

The fact Dooley is a proven loser can't be denied. The fact most of his staff blows can't be denied. The fact he likes Fulmer makes me want to vomit. I hope he does well, but am not counting on it.

Man, if you love Kiffin so much, just become a S. Cal fan and you can continue to worship him as much as you want. Kiffin did more to destroy the UT program than Dooley will ever do. Who knows if Dooley will be successful, but he doesn't make our program look stupid. Get on board or get off board and leave your attacks somewhere else.

I agree. It is stupid to add comments about Dooley and Kiffin on this thread. Guess I just joined in on stupid comments.

I, too, was thinking Mel was going to be a waste of a scholarship during the regular season but I loved the way he stepped up when it counted in the tournament. I'll reserve my judgment about him until I see what he does next year.

I like this post and i like your favorite teams too :)

Hate on Dooley all you want. I'm not sold at all either. He very well could be gone in three or four years. I just don't understand the infatuation with Kiffin. Sure he has a bright future ahead of him, but he did nothing for Tennessee.

Maybe Kiffin61 is gay for the "K"???

Dude's nice, will fill Chism's shoes nicely. Maybe not right away, but he will be a good one
