Media Wars

Yes, it was. Why do y'all have such one sided memories. The republicans investigated him looking for a crime and finally got him because he lied under oath about cheating on his wife. You don't investigate people looking for a crime. It is crap now and it was then as well.

CNN Suffers Smallest Weekday Audience Since 2015

CNN had its smallest weekday audience since the Obama administration on Tuesday as ratings woes continue to plague the struggling network.

CNN, which was purchased by Warner Bros. Discovery earlier this year following the closing of a $43 billion merger, averaged only 393,000 total viewers on June 14. The dismal turnout was CNN’s smallest weekday audience since Nov. 2, 2015 if you exclude Thanksgiving Day.

Miranda’s most recent news story for USA Today is dated April 17.

Before being hired by USA Today, she covered education and the Hispanic community with the Gainesville Times in Georgia.

CNN has Worst Weekend since 2000 among critical demographic as viewers flee network

Brian Stelter’s CNN media program had its smallest audience since 2015

Americans largely avoided CNN during Father’s Day weekend as the network continued to hemorrhage support from the demographic most coveted by advertisers.

CNN managed only 67,000 average viewers between ages 25-54 from June 18-19 for its smallest weekend audience since 2000 in the category that pays the bills. It was the network’s third-worst performance in the critical demo during a weekend since 1993.

It was also the network’s smallest audience on a Saturday among the demo since October 1993 when only 58,000 tuned in, and only the second time that CNN delivered under 60,000 demo viewers on a Saturday in 29 years.

CNN, NBC, MSNBC journalists say Republicans can't be covered equally with Democrats

CNN's Brian Stelter, NBC's Lester Holt and others have rejected idea of balanced reporting

Figures on liberal media networks CNN, NBC and MSNBC have pushed the narrative that Republicans do not deserve equal coverage alongside their Democratic counterparts, often claiming Republicans stand for anti-Democratic values and are more likely to push falsehoods.

On MSNBC's "The ReidOut" Monday night, Joy Reid and her guest, left-wing political analyst Mathew Dowd, suggested the media were too neutral in their reporting on the Republican Party, and thus needed to ramp up the hostility. She added that both sides were "not the same," and also urged fellow reporters to "tell voters" the GOP was a "threat" to freedom.

MSNBC Names Alex Wagner as Rachel Maddow’s Successor in key time slot

Alex Wagner previously served a lengthy stint at CBS News.

MSNBC has reportedly named a permanent successor for its struggling 9 p.m. ET primetime weeknight slot now that longtime anchor Rachel Maddow has shifted to a one-day-per-week format.

Alex Wagner will anchor MSNBC’s 9 p.m. hour on Tuesdays through Fridays beginning in August, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which cited a source familiar with the matter. MSNBC has yet to reveal what her program will be called.

Maddow, who has stepped back from full-time hosting duties to pursue other projects, will continue to anchor her show on Monday nights, according to the report. She will also anchor coverage during major news events, as she did last week after the Supreme Court voted to overturn Roe V. Wade.

As The Post previously reported, MSNBC has been mired in a ratings slump in its 9 p.m. time slot – especially on nights when Maddow doesn’t anchor. “MSNBC Prime” has significantly trailed “The Rachel Maddow Show” in viewership since Maddow’s shift to once-per-week appearances.

CNN Suffers Biggest Ratings Dip in SEVEN YEARS: Viewers Plummet 13% in June in Largest Freefall since 2015 despite new CEO Chris Licht vowing to turn the network away from 'extremes'

CNN's ratings continue to slip in primetime to their lowest numbers in seven years, despite a public about face on sensationalism and opinion shows under new boss Chris Licht.

The network, promised by Licht to 'go a different way' during a time 'where extremes are dominating cable news', appear to still be in the tank even during a month that saw the blockbuster January 6 hearings.

Despite the hearings, which drew tens of millions of viewers across multiple networks, CNN had fewer viewers in June than it did in May, which continued a months-long downward slope for the network since the invasion of Ukraine lifted them in March.

ESPN hates America on July 4th, loves woke columnist arrested for choking his wife
Bryant is a black guy who was arrested for assaulting a police officer and currently works for Disney owned ESPN, where he makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to tell us how awful America is. On Independence Day, no less. If anyone benefited from a "separate set of rules, a concierge lane," it was him. Can you argue white people are privileged when you, a black guy, were arrested for assaulting a police officer — who arrived after a witness said you were choking your wife — and accepted six months of probation, which is far less of a punishment than most white people who participated in January 6th are receiving? Does Disney employ anyone arrested on January 6th? Hell, does any major media company in America? And yet Bryant lectures us about privilege? He’s one of the most privileged people in all of American media.
May god continue to bless the greatest county in world history, a country so amazing that even an untalented hack like Howard Bryant, a black man arrested for assaulting his white wife and a police officer, can make a living writing about how awful and racist America is.

CNN’s corporate boss David Zaslav wants network for ‘Republicans, Democrats’ as ratings sink

Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav said CNN is renewing its focus on “journalism” — signaling he wants the scandal-scarred, left-leaning network to eventually deliver straight news that also appeals to conservatives.

The CEO, whose company owns CNN, Warner Bros., HBO, Animal Planet and TLC, told reporters at Allen & Co.’s “summer camp for billionaires” in Sun Valley, Idaho, that CNN’s new approach will pay off in the long term, even as ratings sink to historic lows.

“Journalism first. America needs a news network where everybody can come and be heard; Republicans, Democrats,” Zaslav said. “I think you’re seeing more of that at CNN. We’re not going to look at the ratings and, in the long run, it’s going to be worth more.”

May god continue to bless the greatest county in world history, a country so amazing that even an untalented hack like Howard Bryant, a black man arrested for assaulting his white wife and a police officer, can make a living writing about how awful and racist America is.

But while Bryant’s fealty to woke politics is all too common at ESPN, Bryant is unique in one way: he’s been previously arrested for assaulting his wife in public, in front of his six year old son no less, and also charged with assaulting a police officer who arrived to protect his wife, after he was observed choking her in public. Bryant, a black man married to a white woman he was accused of choking in public, initially offered as his defense that racism was to blame for his arrest before pleading the charges down to six months of probation. Nevertheless you’d think someone making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year despite (allegedly) choking his wife and attacking a police officer and pleading down the charges with six months probation, might be inclined to think America is an incredibly forgiving place. After all, does Disney employ that many (alleged) wife and police assaulters? Not to my knowledge.
