Has it been made public about John Wall heading to memphis? I had a very reliable source inform me a couple of days ago that he was indeed heading to Memphis.
From what I know and from the folks that know something about this, Mr. Wall is down to Memphis or going overseas to play. He is a Memphis lean right now. With him and Xavier Henry they would be instant firepower for coach Cal. With Wall, Henry, Dennis and the 2 MIA JC's players (Coleman and Dodson) which are lights out shooters, this would be a very, very strong recruiting class for Memphis. IMO.
Well just to let you know, my source seemed extremely confident that John Wall would be a tiger and this was as of two days ago. As always though, take it for what its worth..
We were in Cals place eating last night and the waitress said Cal was not doing his radio show , but that an assisitant was . She said he was at a ball game , do yall know who he might have been watching ?
This next class better be pretty good. They could use the help now.
Just got in from the game tonight and the Tigers got a little help tonight from Antonio Anderson. The young man had a triple-double tonight, only one other guy in school history has done that at Memphis, that was Penny. Tyreke has changed his whole game it looks looks like at the point, he looks alot better (good move Cal). It's crazy what Camp Cal does to his players. Memphis 108 Lamer 75.
They looked much better tonight. Everyone did. Evans and AA obviously but Mack was actually hitting his outside shots and others really stepped up. I am still holding my opinions on Camp Cal 2009 until a few more games though.
My health has gotten good enough to where I hope to make the game on Wednesday. :good!:
Bet the farm Wall is going to Memphis. Also, don't be shocked to see Cousins and/or Favors sign.
Im watching Cousins vs. Favors on ESPN2 right now and both are good, but Cousins is just a d@mn beast in the paint. 17 rebounds in the first half for Cousins, that's the type of player Cal is looking for.
Commercial Appeal reports today that Memphis is Cousins top choice. UAB refusal to write escape clause in LOI appears to be deal breaker. If he has a brain in his head he'll sign with Tigers where he would get more national exposure and the coach is looking for his next job.
Talked to some coaches who should know this week, and they both think Cousins and Wall are going to Memphis. However, they both gave the same caveats. One, if Baylor hires the other Clifton brother onto their staff, all bets are off. Also, don't count out Europe as an option for both guys.
