You also said that Memphis would likely sign a PG better than Chiozza when he committed to UF.
Who exactly is this mystery PG? Ullis is going to Michigan State. Dominic Magee is supposedly a heavy OK State lean. Lourawls Nairn? He's a good two inches shorter than Chiozza. Alex Robinson is similarly ranked to Austin.
Cornish is a 2 star. Tompson ranked a bit higher, but unranked at his position.
Mitchell is a 4 star, and will be able to play at the high major level. He's clearly the best of the three, IMO.
SPITTAKE!!!!!!!
You already got your 'cruitin' service up and ranking these kids as 4 stars, BTO?!?!?!

It's definitely debatable whether or not Magee and Robinson are better than Austin. Neither is as good as Chiozza. Either way, Magee is thought to be a heavy OK State lean.Robinson is out there, as is Quintin Snyder. Magee is in the mix as well.
All better than Austin. They aren't 5'6" like Chiozza either, which I lik.
Nairn and Ullis are. :dunno:
Chiozza is 5'10". Weight is a bigger concern than height, but that's fixable.
I only brought up size because MC tried to diminish losing Chiozza to Florida because of his size. I have absolutely no problem with undersized point guards. On his tippy toes maybe. I've watched him play and stood on the courst near him many times. He MAY push 5'9".
What difference does it make if a PG is 5'8" or 5'11"? They're not likely getting much action in the middle. At that size, quickness is important and all of the guys mentioned are very quick.

You're going to look foolish when you open this link...not that you needed much help as it relates to this conversation. Pay particular attention to the four, shaded starry shapes in the top-right corner.

Good luck getting Snider away from a blue blood.
What "elite PG" is Memphis even in the running for? Snider is a longshot at best for Memphis, and it's probably a stretch to call him an elite PG regardless.S'ok, I once heard that Austin Nichols was a heavy UTK lean.
Pastner gets his recruits, and I bet we'll have an elite PG recruit for 2014, unless Powell qualifies, which is even better.
You're not linking me to an ESPN recruiting ranking, are you?
Let's stick with Rivals and Scout if we want to have recruiting ranking convos. ESPN is garbage.

Oh, I don't disagree with any of this. I'm not that delusional.Snider will most likely be at IU.
I know you're addressing MC but there are very few kids I'd label 'elite PGs'. Maybe the top 3-4. Chiozza is good but certainly not an elite PG. Most of that type will be playing in college for not more than 2 years.
Magee or Robinson are real possibilities for Memphis.
Powell will most likely be at Memphis in '14 regardless of what happens this year.
