i would take him in a heart beat, but would kick him at first sign of trouble...

no need for prima donna and/or thuggish BS for a new HC

Dude was mvp of Auburn's NC game and Auburn booted him. I'm sure he had a lot more problems that wasn't made public.

He got kicked from Arky st. If I remember correctly a State patrol office got fired over the traffic stop that got him kicked!

Did he get kicked out of Auburn? I thought he just followed Malzahn to Arky st and that's where h got kicked out. But I could be wrong about the Auburn thing. Does anyone know what went on there for sure?

He transferred to Arkansas State in January after he was suspended indefinitely by Auburn coach Gene Chizik for violating unspecified team rules before the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

I think we are at 83 or 84 scholarships after NSD so there is definitely a spot.

It's very simple and even Kiffin figured it out with Hood: sit him down in front of the AD and explain he is on strike two already. If he's interested in FB again, there are no second chances and shenanigans of any kind won't be tolerated.

Having a back like this would definitely take the pressure off the staff in terms of having to break in a new starter at QB.

Hood was in grade school when his issue arose, and was basically an innocent bystander to a horrible incident.

That's easily the dumbest example you could have used.

Rather not have Tennessee take others rejects no matter how good they are.

What if it would mean the difference between a 5-win season and an 8-win season? What if it meant the difference from another so-so recruiting class after yet another struggling season, vs. A huge waive on momentum leading to a monster 2014 class and on and on...

Would you be a little less distasteful of others' "rejects"?

It's just one of those things where if he has learned his lesson and matured we can use him! If he hasnt then we won't move on him simple as that

They should at least get him on campus, this is a big time prospect who just needs to knock the rust off. Maybe Jones feels comfortable with what we have right now at RB but unless he's declined significantly....he's way better than the backs we have

The guy has all the talent in the world, and could definitely boost this team. I think CBJ should at least give him a shot if he thinks he can get his head straight.

Plus having Graham coaching him could help as well.

I get so disappointed when I see a really interesting article title, only to see that it's the Bleacher Report. Mehhh. Pass.

Only risk would be in his second year. We have unused scholarships this year if we give him one and he screws up next year it will be available. If he comes in with his act together great it’s a win/win. Then we would just have to pray he doesn't screw up his second year as that would be a waste of a scholarship if he did. But my guess is he could come in and be one and done anyway if he performs like he did at AU.

Don't think Butch will go down that path after traveling around the state recently and saying Character is one of the first things they look at in a recruit.
