Michael Dyer - now Louisville bound (merged)

What's your opinion of the possibility that Dyer is a Vol?

Hurd > Dyer....

Hurd will never be a compliment to Dyer... Hurd with Paulk will turn Dyer into a situational back.

Freshman have to be turned loose. Don't house stallions on the bench to put someone that had his shot and blew it twice because of ignorance and self inflicted wound.

Bringing Dyer in here defeats the purpose of building the program from scratch and anew. Plus it may cause some controversy within the player ranks and makes us look a little desperate....we are not....

Let him go to Louisville....

Michael Dyer rushed for over 1,200 yards as a sophomore and right at 1,100 yards his freshman year. Yeah, there's no chance a true freshman would start over a RB with those numbers. Hurd is good, but not proven like that yet. Your post is laughable.

I dont understand how this thread had life from the beginning. I have scoured the internet and twitter and Tennessee isn't even being mentioned at all with Dyer. Would be a nice back to add but I'm not putting any stock in this dudes "life long friend". Looks like Louisville or USF. I'm looking forward to Hurd pounding the rock for 3-4 yrs!

I think ppl are forgetting how good dyer is.. Hs did what he did at au as a true freshman.. He's in the yeldon/gurley league.

Exactly. being excited about the possibility of having Hurd follow in the footsteps of a player the caliber (talent wise) of Dyer is huge. It's not a knock on Hurd at all, it's just common sense. And no coach would start Hurd over Dyer regardless of what school it was if Dyer comes remotely close to having a junior season like his seasons at Auburn.

Yade yada yada. CBJ is building a team based on character. Saw Dyers numbers, he is a felon. Ever heard of Cobb Webb Walker Jackson....Freshman been carrying the load for years....Dyer started as a freshman so why to you think we have to breast feed Hurd and Paulk....

Dyer will be better off at Louisville.

True Freshman start over upperclassmen all the time. Especially the ones with off field issues.

Dyer was and I'm sure still is a great back and would LOVE to have him. Just don't think its happening. One thing I've learned on this board....during the Coaches search is everyone seems to have a source and 99% were BS. I.E. Gruden and Strong.

I dont understand the problem TBO... so what he had a gun? I have 12 of them.

Granted I went and obtained a concealed weapons permit, but IMO they should not be needed.. This country was founded on the right to bear arms.

Poor Kid is being made out to be a career criminal... He never used the guns, He is only guilty of owning them.

What is the problem????

While I agree about owning guns bc I own lots of them. The problem was he had no concealed license and his .45 was used in an armed robbery/home invasion. I think he will take advantage of his next shot but you have to understand why ppl think the things they do about him.

I really don't think most here understand how minor what Dyer did was. His only actual charge was speeding (it may have been reckless driving but whatever). He failed a drug test at Auburn and he was "suspected" of having marijuana later when the gun was found and there is no proof (or charges) that there was any marijuana possession. The gun was confiscated without merit and the cop was later fired.

I agree....but that has nothing to do with Dyer. Neal is on the team Dyer is not.

Dyer will end up at Louisville....and not a SEC school I have the feeling....
