Michael Dyer - now Louisville bound (merged)

What's your opinion of the possibility that Dyer is a Vol?

They might get to the NC game, but they will get slaughtered. The talent level is not comparable to an SEC team. It's a playmaker like Bridgewater plus an easy schedule and a decent defense. I'm hoping they don't. Is this year when the playoffs start or next year?

You may want to tell Florida that information since they got beat by Louisville.

You should of told them that before the bowl game. Maybe they would of believed that

-Florida gators

tired of hearing about them beating florida. i would compare it to utah beating bama. both teams rolled over because they felt like they should have been in the national title game and got shafted.

Uh - tell me how UF "felt like they should have been in the national title game and got shafted" last year? I guess they also must have "felt like they should have been in the SEC title game and got shafted" as well?

I'm confused... How did Florida get rolled over from the national title game?

Sorry didn't see your post, seems we're both stumped.

This is irrelevant. He's still better then any back we have on our roster and probably most of the SEC. Fact.

Bullsquat. If you want to look at stat's, Lane had a better average than Lattimore last season. What were Dyer's stats in the SEC last season? Bottom line is you don't know and I don't know. I would rather bank on Neal and Lane than speculate on a maybe. Probably better than anybody in the SEC? Put the pipe down son.

Koach, you are so timid, you need to get an opinion LOL

Now back to Dyer.......... we have some competent rb's who did ok last year with a great o-line. Dyer is a shelf above all of them all. The question about Dyer is not his ability to play in the SEC...HE has proven it well already. The question about him would simply be can he mesh with this team, if he can, his ability would be well worth a year here. again JMO

Pipe dream like Gruden.

wtf? Comparing Dyer to Gruden is giving Dyer waaaaay too much credit. Do we really want to bring a possible trouble maker here at this point? Neal, Lane, and Hill can carry the load. No need in risking what Jones is trying to build with an Auburn retread.

Was just informed by a lifelong friend of mine who works at 247 that Dyer has chosen and been granted a transfer to UT. I'm unsure as to how he came across this information or of its legitimacy. But just figured I'd let y'all know of the rumors round the 247 neighborhood.

If true, what are your thoughts?

I now know why I never subscribed to 24/7 if guys like your friend is working there...He obviously has no clue what he is talking about and without ANY evidence what so ever you went and posted this.....Don't get out much do you?

If CBJ believes he won't negatively impact the team (whether through behavior, team chemistry, or whatever), I say bring him in. He is a proven, albeit rusty and risky, commodity that could help elevate UT this year as well as potentially next year. As a coach, you've got to take calculated risks to get an edge and Dyer could be that kind of risk. For me, whatever the coaches decide will not be an issue for me because they are in the best position to make the call and I see pros and cons to each choice and, thus, either choice seems justifiable.

As soon as I saw a similar post in the recruiting thread I thought the same thing. I guess imaginary friends do continue after elementary school. Btw, my friend at rivals just informed me that CP is going to explore his options at coming back to UT to complete his college career once he realizes the NFL isn't what he thought it would be. TIFWIW......

The running backs season last year is not a reflection of their ability but a reflection of piss poor coaching and Bray who did not know anything about game management....

Furthermore, he was only playing for draft position....

The coaching staff was never on the same sheet of music because Dooley was a micro managing coach that had no insight or foresight.

Truly believe Dooley took a lackadaisical approach to coaching.....thought it would be easy to throw a bunch of players on the field and win. His Evaluation of talent will show this year when our players are finally properly coached.

When it was rumored that Graham did not want to stay on staff with CBJ because of the hours of work, that was a true reflection of the environment of the staff....
