I'm not. Like I said in the other post....he could prove to be a good coach. I wouldn't be surprised at all. But looking at White's young resume....I see alot more to get excited about. Just my opinion.

As I've always said, I still think White waits until after 2015 season (likely NCAA tourney berth) then leaves. Stock will be even higher.
White is also big on promoting his program/keeping fan base involved and excited. Remind you of anyone?
Yep. No problem. Everyone's got their opinions on the new coach. The only reason I would favor a guy like Pitino is that his name could create credibility right away with recruiting. It sounds like he and White play a similar style. I know White has southern ties just not sure how quickly he will be able to recruit at a higher level.

He is already one of the best recruiters in the southeast...was getting top 25 classes to Ole Miss

As I reported earlier this month, Mike White's buyout is $600,000 after he just signed 6-year, $3.6 mil extension. Prob. paper money to UT
The reservation for White very well could be this....
He has 4 starters returning next year, a likely NCAAT and another 25+ win team. If that happens his stock goes even higher and he likely can land a better job and more money than Tennessee.
Does he risk that to come to a Tennessee team who returns 1 starter?
