Guys... I think this might be much ado about nothing.

I personally don't care for pomp and circumstance like this. Maybe it means more in the whole context of her life, attitude, and beliefs... or maybe she just doesn't like to waste time on things like flag folding ceremonies.

Must be like me looking around in church while everyone else prayed. I found it kind of pointless, but others find meaning in it.

A business associate sent me this link. I have to admit I've never heard of the guy, but apparently he has somewhat of a following. Make your own decisions if what he says about the Obama's is valid or not. He lost a little e-cred imo when he said something about George W. being one of the most intelligent presidents. Interesting comments about the Clinton's as well. And fwiw, I do believe what he says about Reagan.

Living in DC, I knew a couple of SS agents who gave the same exact stories (except for Obamas as they have all retired). None of them wanted to work for the Clintons b/c Hilary treated them like "the help" and they were afraid of what they might see with Bill in the late nights.

On the one hand, how would she know the proper way to fold a flag? On the other hand, I agree, bigger fish to fry. Are we really surprised by this (if she did say it)?

Of course it is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. But ... it is more very circumstantial evidence that the Obama's do not have the same pride in America and/or share in what I believe are America's core beliefs.

If I was at the ceremony or watching the ceremony with others on the tv and I heard ANYONE make a comment similar to what some are claiming she made, I would immediately think much, much less of them.

Context clues gives me the opinion that she made some type of sarcastic, insensitive remark and Obama approved of it. The fact that she is making any comments during that point of the ceremony is insensitive.

People made a bit of fun of Nancy Reagan for her astrology. People also poked at the Bush wives a little, but not much.

This vicious hatred for Michelle Obama is borne of a lot more than simple disagreement with over politics.
