MD is a total tool. I think senility has set in. But Pat is total class. She has represented the university in a positive light for 36 years. From national championships to Olympic gold metals, she has always brought UT great publicity. She was THE pioneer in women's basketball. Hate women's basketball if you want, but don't overlook what she has done for her sport and UT. The attention she has garnered for UT over the years is enough to deserve having the court named after her. The PR she has been providing all these years is immense. She brought a national spotlight to UT. With the exception of the dbag from UConn, I have never heard another basketball coach, men or women's, speak negatively of Pat. Even Bobby Knight has talked about the high level of respect he has for Pat Summitt. I find it hard to believe that Knight would admit to respect for just anyone.
Besides, I don't believe the rantings of a deluded old man reflect the opinions of Pat Summitt. I highly doubt she was offended by not getting a call on who we hired. She had other things on her mind. Right now I'm sure she's stewing more over how the ladies played than not getting a silly phone call. She's probably ready to burst a blood vessel figuring how to get this team to perform to potential for next season. I'm sure she'll talk to Martin and welcome him to the family, but men's basketball isn't what's on her mind. She's focused on her team and next season.
