My initial thought is that nationally, she is far more recognizable than Dooley or Martin. Influential? I guess that depends on what the subject is.

Easily the worst radio show that I have ever heard in my life. They are truly clueless when it comes to all things sports related.

I'd rather drive in silence on my way to school than listen to Doc, Jeff, and Heather. I've never heard someone more full of themself than Mickey Dearstone. He knows it all...even when he has no idea what he's talking about. Heather just doesn't know enough about sports. Jeff is the most tolerable but he's a buckeye fan so that counts against him big time.

It was Mike calling in, making the point that Dooley held the most important position/personality in the athletic department. That what Dooley has for breakfast is more important than what Pat has for breakfast. All 3 of the morning crew started having a conniption/hissy fit that he would suggest this. Then Doc denied Pat made $2 mil.

I think Heather was basically saying that outside of TN coach summitt was the most well known. I took it as she is essentially the person that people think of when they hear UT. I dont necessarily disagree. She wasnt implying that she the most important or at least I didnt take it that way. Some of Mikes call I agreed with but he started talking crazy and they said all this.

the am show is AWFUL!!! there are so many more options out there, i.e. satellite radio, options people. :loco:

Thoughts on our great university? I must have missed your comments on the quality of the engineering program and how to fully fund necessary projects. All I've seen of your work is low rent, wrestling promo style trash talk aimed at other fanbases. Can you provide some links to these discussions about the university you mentioned?

I suspect that most of the people who listen to Dearstone are Lady Vol fans. I assume the show is quite popular among these fans or one would think it would be cancelled.

it would have been a good idea to call the other head coaches and say hey by the way we are hiring new coach today and presser tomorrow....especially the coaches that are getting their teams ready for games....including basketball, softball and baseball and football because of course they are all asked about it and it makes the university look stupid if they are like..huh.

Dearstone is the programming director for the Sports Animal, he will never cancel his own show.

Many things to consider concerning Lady Vol attendance.

1. How many tickets are simply given away in an effort to fill the arena?
2. Average age of fan in attendance?
3. How many fans received a ticket in exchange for a can of beans?
4. How many homeless people go just to have shelter for a couple of hours? (See number 1)
5. How many fans (male or female) are there just to check out the "HOT" chicks playing basketball.

i speak mainly of UT sports. If that's not what you're interested in, perhaps you should stay away from my "low rent" opinions. I've put plenty of videos up that are not "wrestling promo" as you put it. Most people outside of VN appreciatte what i do on youtube and the fact that I say what most won't about UT sports. If you're interested in the quality of the engineering program, perhaps you should search for engineering videos. I'm about sports, as are 95% of the threads on this site.

again, another person who has probably seen one or 2 of my rant vids and assumes the worst. you're welcome to your opinion, as am I. as long as i continue to donate to UT and follow the sports programs, I will continue to voice my opinion on whatever I choose in relation to UT sports.
