Great coach, would loved to have seen him get to run a major program. The story of the fake play sheet vs Texas in his year at Oklahoma is one of the greatest schemes/stories in CFB history. Definitely and original that has his fingerprints all over college football.

I didn't realize that Heupel was part of Leach's tree until reading all of the condolences this morning. Josh's was very heartfelt and meaningful; Leach was an offensive savant and was an inch away from being the Tennessee head coach before Fulmer's coup, though beyond that he seemed like a really solid person (**** Craig James) and it's beyond sad to lose an active HBC in the SEC.
