This set of circumstances seems to mandate a change. I'm not sure that he has faced anything quite like this before. There is an obvious problem at WR. Whether poor evaluations are being made, or we have had poor development, something is off with this position group. We must get more production from the passing game.

So you don't care what the coaching staff does after he leaves? Who they get? If they choose not to?
If matthews leaves due to Boo playing WR, if that fails it was a terrible decision to hitch to his wagon. So I'd think you would be interested in what the coaching staff does with Matthews leaving.

Everything I have been able to find on the portal rules says a player must submit paperwork to enter the winter portal the later of Dec. 28 or within 5 days of the end of their season. The school must submit transfer paperwork within 48 hrs. of receiving it. It's been 10 days since the end of the Vols season, and at least 17 hrs. past the 48 hr. deadline, and nowhere can I find where Matthews is in the portal. So, I would say conclusively that Matthews is not transferring this winter. (My BVS is getting a little better).

They basically fired 4 WRs they didn't negotiate their NIL now GIT, you're not executing. This is why teams like Alabama have 21 in the portal. They are getting paid and they're also getting fired or the NIL is dropped, and you still have your scholly maybe of course their year to year too. Coaches usually don't take them although Spurrier did back in the day. It is a business a hard ball business both sides playing.
