Mike Matthews to portal? [He’s staying]

Squirrel, Mike Matthews and there were reports of Boo flirting with the portal. Half our RB room dipped. Losing RBs doesn't hurt us as we are looking good there but it did embrass us in the playoff game by having no depth.

MM's had 2 TDs in 7 touches, looked good in a crowded room - just didn't get enough playing time. Now that room has opened up and our presumed starter entered the portal. It's definitely a problem.
It's not a problem. MM could barely get on the field and yall are acting like we lost Jerry Rice. I do agree that we have no depth at RB tho. Bishop just ain't it

Who recruited and signed these slow, no hands, receivers?
Jerry Rice was never a speedster, but he one, or had been taught, how to get open. Speed is desirable and needed with the quality of today's defensive backs. I don't like say it, but I do believe our receivers are not producing for a couple of reason. One, we have recruited players who are not as good as our coaches thought they were, coaches have not been able to coach the to reach the potential, or, the e receivers are not willing to put in the work needed to reach their potential. We need to determine the cause and correct it/them to become successful. Hep's offense needs above average receivers to be successful.

Have heard nothing about the coaching staff doing anything to keep Squirrel. Guess he has not turned out to be receiver speedster they want. Don't know anything about the incoming freshman but hope a couple of them are fast.

As for RB- Y’all- Peyton Lewis with another year in the weight room is going to be a beast on wheels. We are well set there - I’m sure CJH will grab another one or two from the portal to add depth as well.

Ain't about liking him. We all work with people we don't like. Our WRs are slow and can't catch a cold. That's not the coach's fault lmao
They run poor routes and are lazy. That’s coaching. Funny how Brazzell looked really good at Tulane. Comes here and looks like crap. Thorton looked good at Oregon. Came here and looked like crap. Why? The coaches played him at the wrong position. That’s coaching.

Hyatt wasn’t good his first few years. Then the coaches helped him with hitting the jugs machine and worked on his hands. Boom. Bilitnekoff winner. At the college level, the relationship between players and their position coaches is huge. It’s not like the NFL. If the WRs don’t like Pope, that’s a huge problem. You ever hear players say they hate Garner? Inge? Martinez? Elarbee? Sims? No you don’t. Now players have said sometimes they hate that Garner coaches so hard. But not that they don’t like him.

You can discredit coaching all you want. You think the WRs at OSU don’t like Hartline? Come on man.

Why did Ashton Jeanty look somewhat pedestrian last night? Was that coaching ?

This is a bad take. You don't have to like your position coach to be good. Your comment about D. Thornton looking better at Oregon is ridiculous. He went for 17/366/1 his Sophmore year at Oregon.

Whether J. Smith likes Hartline or not, it has nothing to do with him being able to separate and make amazing catches on a Saturday.

Why do y’all keep running with his narrative that Thornton was so good at Oregon? He barely have any playtime.

IIRC Brazell was money for the 1st half of the year.
