Also VN -omg all our receivers were allowed to leave in the portal. We didn’t do anything to keep them. The sky is falling.

And then VN- Boo and Mathews just used the portal to get more money. They ain’t loyal enough.

Meanwhile VN forgetting - the entire Defensive backfield turned over last year and got significantly better. While the same people on here were claiming we would only win 6-7 games.

NIL was supposed to eliminate restrictions on athletes profiting from their Name, Image, & Likeness, NOT start a bidding war on players. How did Congress and the Courts get this so wrong? If they aren't careful, CFB will go the way of Nascar. Too much Government involvement will eventually sour even the most dedicated fans.

Failure to score any points during the first half in four games immediately comes to mind. Numerous untimely penalties by the OL and missed blocking assignments at key times. Poor route running by WRs getting little to no separation. Dropped passes. Limited, vanilla, predictable play calling.

Don’t forget lack luster QB play! Many times the WR did had separation and pass was late or off the mark. For sure the WR room has lost confidence in the QB and the offensive passing game! This is more than NIL and the portal. The passing attack is just plain broken.

NCAA is worse than the NFL by a large margin now. Unregulated, poorly managed, and just a huge cash grab for all parties from the fans pockets.

Unlimited free agency, no contracts, no limits on player leverage against schools. The kids are running the schoolhouse now.

Wouldn't surprise me, but it will be interesting to see just how much this staff values him. It always comes down to the number, but since there's not been any real urgency on the portal front by this staff, we either have equal or better talent coming via our recruits or an unannounced portal addition. Matthews might not have a choice of coming back.

Richt is a stand up guy who revived a crappy UGA program. He never got over the hump, but got UGA back into relevancy and set Smart up for instant success. Smart and the UGA fanbase love him for what he did for their program.

I do sympathize since I come from an era where college football was the sport we all once adored. Having said that, I can't be a hypocrite and complain when a kid leaves only to rejoice when we poach a player from someone else.

For every Richt type firing that works, I can show you programs like is, Florida, FSU, Bama that took years to figure things out.
