Millions of Illegal Aliens From All Over The World Head For U.S. Border

Plenty of my family but they died, so I do not need your ungrateful thanks.

I'm sure they're happy with you dishonoring them by using them as debate cred. This has nothing to do with the topic. You're just using them as an excuse to not help these people. Maybe they died for the principles etched into the statue of liberty and they'd be on my side?

Wrong, again!!

The Angel Family of 34-year-old Logan Wilson and his wife 32-year-old Jessica Wilson is outraged after an illegal alien was sentenced to just 12 years in prison after killing the young couple in a drunk driving crash in August 2018 in the sanctuary city of Marion County, Oregon.

Weeks ago, illegal alien Eduardo de la Lima Vargas from Mexico received a sentence of 12 years after killing the Wilsons, leaving their three young children now without parents, in a drunk driving crash where the couple’s motorcycle was wedged under the illegal alien’s pickup truck, Breitbart News originally reported.

Wrong, how am I scoring cheap points? I just believe our VETERANS deserve more respect that

"Trump said he passed a private-sector health care program, Veterans Choice, after failed attempts by past presidents for the last “45 years.” That’s not true. The Choice program, which allows veterans to see doctors outside the government-run VA system at taxpayer expense, was first passed in 2014 under President Barack Obama.

Trump’s VA secretary, Robert Wilkie, also is distorting the facts. Faulting previous “bad leadership” at VA, Wilkie suggested it was his own efforts that improved waiting times at VA medical centers and brought new offerings of same-day mental health service. The problem: The study cited by Wilkie on wait times covers the period from 2014 to 2017, before Wilkie took the helm as VA secretary. Same-day mental health services at VA were started during the Obama administration."

AP FACT CHECK: Trump takes credit for Obama's gains for vets

My brother in law still has to drive from Pigeon Forge to Johnson City to see his VA DR. You can post all the links you want. VA healthcare is still broken no matter who you think fixed what.

So you agree we should expediently allow all legit asylum seekers? Why are you arguing with me then?
I just don't see how "expediently" and "legit" mesh together. It takes time to vet whether an asylum seeker is legit, and with the massive numbers we're seeing, how do you do that expediently? You suggest the system was working under previous administrations, but was it? If so, why were we discussing a border crisis under Obama as well?

Our immigration system is broken. I'm not sure exactly who broke it, but what good does pointing fingers solve? Shouldn't we instead be using that energy to find a solution? And maybe, big maybe, part of the discussion should involve whether some form of military action needs to be involved. We're fighting problems overseas and ignoring problems at our front door. If the countries these immigrants are fleeing are so terrible, should we get involved in shaping those nations? I don't see how we could bring everyone in danger, everyone in need of asylum here, so what is the solution? What is our moral obligation?

Maybe I'm mistaken, but your argument seems to be about what kind of obligation we have to those seeking legit asylum? So just how far do you think we should go?

Most veterans need not even apply to the VA for healthcare. My dad, for example, served in combat during both WW2 and Korea. However, he was never wounded and didn't have a service connected disability, so he fell into the "we'll never get to you, so don't apply category". My brother and I don't even rank that high in the pecking order. The VA is a farce; sometimes they spend way too much to help the few, and virtually nothing to help the rest. And the quality of service for any of those covered seems to be pretty questionable.

That's the whole point of the caravans ... gatecrashers. Overload the system, so that it fails, and many ineligible get through by default. When they try that strategy, shut it all down, and don't consider anybody. Maybe then the message will get across ... be civil and don't game the system or be gone

I have to agree that we should possibly be thinking military action in some countries south of Mexico. Sometimes you have to go to the source to fix the problem. In any case, it's more worth our involvement in the Americas than the s!hitholes we are dealing with in the middle east. Let those countries closer deal with the problems in the ME, and we'll take care of our own backyard.

How do we discern between legit and bogus?

Maybe a Mueller type investigation of each and every one applying ... with a real analysis, though. The point is background investigations generally aren't both expedient and thorough. Just imagine if the background investigation had been done properly, a guy known as Chelsea wouldn't have stolen confidential material.

Nope. If you’re able to march a thousand miles through a couple countries with your smart phones you aren’t too oppressed. Stay home and fix your own country. If you want to apply for asylum do it in your own country and play the lottery on where you’ll be shipped to if you’re granted asylum.

Judge rejects House suit to block transfer of billions of dollars for Trump border wall

Oops, better luck next time.

U.S. District Judge Trevor N. McFadden denied a House request to temporarily stop spending on the wall, saying the House lacked legal standing to sue the president for allegedly overstepping his power by diverting billions intended for other purposes to pay for it.

“While the Constitution bestows upon Members of the House many powers, it does not grant them standing to hale the Executive Branch into court claiming a dilution of Congress’s legislative authority,” McFadden, a 2017 Trump appointee, wrote in a 24-page decision. “The Court therefore lacks jurisdiction to hear the House’s claims and will deny its motion.”

Border Control agents shot a US citizen dead on Monday night after he allegedly opened fire on them having failed to stop at a checkpoint.

Seven Customs and Border Protection officers engaged in the shootout at the San Ysidro Port of Entry near the US-Mexico border at Tijuana, officials said.

'The suspect began firing a gun out of his vehicle toward the officers, then exited his vehicle and continued firing at the officers,' San Diego police homicide Lt. Matt Dobbs said on Tuesday.

'The officers returned fire, striking the suspect.'
