Milton’s accuracy and velocity

Lol. Delusional comment.
He may get the first opportunity, but he is not a starter in the SEC. If he is the starter at seasons' end next year and healthy, it means Nico and Jackson are both not what they were expected to be when recruited. (Which is what Milton is as well I guess.)

Nico shouldn’t touch the field at all next year. If he is truly the “franchise” QB, you take time with developing him. At best, he should be handled like T-Law the year Kelly Bryant started the season

If Milton or Jackson can't take the QB1 spot and run with it, Nico will be forced to see the field and step up. It happened to Manning due to injuries. Injuries may be the reason Nico is put into that same situation, but it could easily be because Milton is not Jerry Colquitt or even Todd Helton as well.

Jackson was a project QB from the onset.... I think he would have gotten more playing time if Hooker didn't go nuclear and Milton didn't stay on the team (transfer)...... Right now, Milton is QB1 and the transition QB to Nico....

I would have loved to seen Jackson more, but Hooker went crazy and Milton didn't transfer out.

I think that post was a fact
I’m sure you’re thinking is on par with his guessing. Milton has an NFL arm. He also overthrows some balls. I haven’t commented on how he’s done this year. I definitely have said that giving up on him would be misguided. Would you like to use Hooker’s time at Tech to predict his success here? Our coach and system help simplify reads, and create opportunities to make throws based on mismatches and alignments. Our coach has now proven that he can succeed with multiple qbs in multiple situations. Milton makes the reads. He has a world class arm. He misses some throws. I don’t plan to write him off yet.

Agree on Jackson. He is more like Helton was for the 94 Vols. That said, Milton has not proven he can be a QB1. He has had multiple opportunities and 2 different universities. He did not look like a QB1 last night either when he had to come into the game other than mop up duty. I'm sure Milton will get the first opportunity as QB1 and will likely start the 1st game of the season. If he is still starting at the end of the season and is healthy, it likely means Nico is not the franchise QB we hope.

"Has not proven" while he hasn't been a starter in over 20+ games because of Hooker's emergence.

Milton starting 1 game into Heupel's install here is vastly different from him taking over starter due to Hooker's injury 2 offseasons and 22 games in between starts......

This notion we are getting the same Joe Milton we last saw as a starter is silly... And if you honestly believe that, can't wait to hear you thoughts on Heupel because that should be a glaring indictment on his coaching

Milton did not get benched due to Hooker's emergence. He was given multiple opportunities to hold the job at TN but was bad. Hooker got an opportunity due to Milton losing the QB1 spot due to poor performance. He was not QB1 at MI due to poor performance. His performance last night did not look significantly better than what he looked like last season as a starter.

The notion Milton is better and a totally different QB than we saw last season and MI saw is ridiculous until he proves it. He will get the chance to prove it, but the odds are not in his favor.

If you honestly believe this, you would be calling for Heupel's head as a coach

I'm not writing him off yet either. He has looked better than last year, but I'm still not completely sold on him being the man. He will at least start out next season as the starter

These next 2 games will tell us

Again, you are not accurate. I am happy with Heupel. Milton has a ton of talent but has yet to prove he can lead a team during meaningful game time. He will get and deserves the opportunity to prove he can next season. I just don't expect to see anything significantly different, and Heupel is not Fulmer. Heupel will go to a QB who can make the offense succeed if Milton can't as long as there is another QB on the roster who can make it succeed.

The throw to Squirrel last night just shows his top notch ability. Rolling to the left and throwing it 60 yards was insane.
Will get some hate, but Hooker doesn’t make that throw . Hooker seldom throws on the run. People have been screaming all year….why don’t we move the pocket, why don’t we roll out.
