Didn't Hendon lose his starting job at VA Tech? And didn't he lose starting competition here and was backup til the starter got hurt?

Hate it for Hooker. Looks like we will have to go with Milton now. He's had nearly 2 seasons now to watch and learn exactly how Hendon was doing it. He's got a great arm and legs. Maybe watching and learning how to run the offense will pay off.

No, Hooker never lost his starting spot here. He never had it here until Milton was benched. Milton was Heupel QB1 and that's why he transferred to TN. Heupel benched Milton once already. Heupel never benched Hooker.

What’s the status of Tayven Jackson? I know he was still listed out for the Mizzou game due to upper body injury (clavicle). We need a back up to our back up.

think he’s still out. If Milton goes down it’s either walk-on Gaston Moore or we go wildcat

Milton lost his starting job for two different programs. Playing in mop up duty does not a starting QB make. It does matter whether Milton can throw the bowl 70 yards - he could do that when he lost his starting jobs.

I’m still blown away that this keeps coming up as an argument. It’s as if, no one is capable of improving! Have you not gotten any better at your job in the last 2 or 3 years? Let’s not forget where Tillman was prior to this staff showing up. Players improve with good coaching! I fully expect Milton to be more than ready as he continues working w/ Heupel, Golesh & Halzle.

Milton gets knocked out and it’s Gaston Moore time. After that it’s Navy Shuler.

I hope he has improved to the point that he could be the starting QB but I have my doubts given his track record. Michigan’s coaching staff is pretty good.

They aren’t that good at qb coaching though. They win with defense. Basically UGA lite

I think they are decent, but when looking at developing qb’s how many have led the nation in passing? (I know this next one jury is still out on Heupel’s qbs here, but…) how many have been early round draft picks? Gone on to good pro careers? Yes they win a lot of games, but Michigan plays mostly high school teams.

I wasn’t impressed last night but that was a tough situation coming in down 25. I imagine he was excited. Hopefully he’s better Saturday

He’s got 2 games to prove he’s the guy. If he doesn’t, I wouldn’t be surprised to see JH go to the portal.
