Milton our qb next year?

Fans like you are a cancer. Best season we’ve had (so far) in 24 years, we’re 7-0 with a big game against UK coming up with a QB whose on the Heisman watch, yet your main concern is the QB for next year?
Calling your opponent a cancer is so....let's say easy.

Don’t necessarily agree with the OP but everyone on here has a right to express their opinion. If you don’t agree and obviously can’t handle any opinions different from yours maybe you should ban and delete yourself!

Based on what?

Last year against Bowling Green, Pitt and the running out of bounds against Ole Miss?

He made every correct read against Mizzou last year and against South Alabama and Vandy. Lead a touchdown drive against UGA's first stringers. Including completing a deep ball to Tillman.

Against Ball State, Akron and Martin he's been almost completely flawless except for maybe one pass a little over Salmon's head and two or three plays today where he should have kept it instead of handing it off.

People with the OP's opinion comes from their JG trauma. As in they have JG PTSD and when Joe had all those ridiculous overthrows they applied their JG PTSD to Milton and they can't shake it. No matter how many good plays he has.

He's literally looked about as good as you can wish a back up QB can look when he's played this year.

Tayven clearly has a long way to go and Nico will need to pick up the college game quick and hope Milton goes back to overthrowing everyone again because he's already a team leader. Has their trust. Tons of experience. Will be going into his third year here. He'll likely start the whole year.

Milton has looked much improved. The only weakness I have noticed still is perhaps on the read option plays, he seems to always make the wrong decision. Throwing wise though, much much more accurate

Telling you, I love him, but he just ain't got it. It hurts, I know. Get Jackson and Iamaveava ready.
This is funny. Respectfully, you’re as clueless as they come. I’m by no means saying he’s a sure fire hit. But to sit here and do this the year before the QB competition even starts in a 7-0 season so far is the definition of nitpicking. And badly at that. His stats speak for themselves.

He's improved for sure. But he's no HH, and honestly he would put our offense in a lot of bad situations...he'd stall us out.

If this were 1999 and kids were still coming in summertime then i would say Milton would still start.

But Nico is coming in December just 2 months from now. He'll be the starter come fall
Needs to put on about 40 lbs. I'd be surprised if he's the starter come game 1 next year.

Milton will be fine. I'd be willing to bet Jackson will never start at Tennessee. Most likely will hit the portal
Is what I thinks happens too, but idk that qb room looks like a tight knit group maybe jackson sticks around and if Milton has an off-season next year jackson is the new hooker??..

A lot of Milton time was spent with the backups in the game and he still finished with a pretty good stat line. I am not worried about him.

16-22-360-3tds-0int and a 270 QBR playing with 2nd/3rd stringers and you somehow think he sucks? Did he steal your girlfriend?

Yet another dumb complaining thread started on a day we went 7-0 and were up 52-7 by half time.
Probably will start a thread on Kesling next

not saying he wont progress, just want to stay dominant at the QB position. Lets keep this train rolling

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but whether Milton, Iamaleava, some transfer or somebody else starts at QB next year, the drop off is going to be quite significant.

Dominant, heisman level QB play doesn't grow on trees. Iamaleava might develop to that point given his talent, but he ain't gonna be that in year 1. If we're as good next year as we are this year, it'll be because the defense makes a massive jump. The chance we get QB play even close to the level Hooker is at right now is far less than 1%.

Stats from his playing time so far this year might just point in the opposite direction of the OPs opinion.

Good grief… the guy threw 3 incomplete passes, didn’t throw for 100 yards on every completion and a touchdown with every toss too (all while playing with a bunch of freshmen against a team that still has its starters in…) … why do people feel the need to complain about him if he throws an incompletion or 3?

When the play call is hand it to the running back up the middle on a high percentage (13 or 14 of the 21 or 22 plays) of the plays you’re in for, one of the early plays you’re in for, you lateral (technically a hand off) to a TE on a flee flicker who throws to a wide open Jaylin Hyatt, you get 7 opportunities to throw, you don’t complete all of them but you still average 19.3 yards per attempt (33.75 yards per completion), you throw a TD, no Int’s, your QBR Is second highest on the day only to the TE who threw one pass to Hyatt (Fant QBR: 100, Milton QBR: 96.8, Hooker QBR: 91.9, Jackson QBR: 66.3, Moore QBR: 2.1), you run 3 times for 23 yards, averaging 7.7 yards per carry… then after the game (not that he’s reading it, but...) you get the stupidity of this and multiple other threads from “fans”… please tell me how that is timid? Any of it?

He ran the plays that were called while he was on the field and didn’t turn the ball over.

but is he the answer for next year at QB?

Milton will be better than Hooker next year. He's significantly more talented and I'm impressed by how Huepel has developed him thus far. Don't be surprised if he's the 1st overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft. He's that talented.

I am going to be blunt. Another idiotic OP complaining about the backup QB. Gotta find something to make themselves feel like they have a clue. Leave the personnel decisions to the staff and enjoy a fantastic season. Stop creating drama, quit wringing your hands and get out of your BVS fetal position. WE ARE 7-0 AND IN THE CONVERSATION FOR THE NC THIS YEAR! Quit worrying about next year before this one is even complete! You only make yourself look stupid.

People aren't bitchin and whining, they are worried that our bubble is gonna burst, Hooker makes the offense work, Milton didn't and from what I saw and apparently many others did as well, he's still not fluid running it and it's worrisome.

What do you mean by, “Ready to play”? I think he is ready to play now but certainly not at HH level of play.
I am just enjoying this year and watching an outstanding QB in Hooker. Next year will have new challenges.
I just don’t think any QB that we will have on staff is just going to pick up where Hooker is at now. There will be a definite drop off. Don’t set up next years QB, whoever that is, for disappointment or a lot of controversy while there is so much to enjoy now. JMO.
