'24 MO DL Williams Nwaneri (Mizzou commit)

You would think. However Callahan posted this last night
Appreciate it you relaying that quote, is informative. That said, top teams are signing more than 2 five stars, and if we want to contend for national titles every year, that’s what it’s going to take. UGA is spending over a million dollars more on recruiting each year than we are, and were doing so pre-national champs, and I’d bet my house they don’t have any more to work with than we do. No excuses. If we want a top 5 class, we’re gonna have to figure out how to “allocate” for it.

We better have enough NIL for Nwaneri and Franklin.

If anything use 80% of it on Nwaneri, Franklin, Wingo and Matthews. 😂
I haven't read any mod suggest this at all, but sometimes it feels like we used 80% on Nico lol

Sure, I hear you and am completely with you brother. Just think there's more going on than mods choose, or are "allowed", to share. Also personally I think it's easier for UGA/Bama/OSU to tell kids to kick rocks on big NIL deals because some top prospects will forgo more NIL money now on the assumption they'll be developed into a 1st round pick at those schools, i.e. the kid from Iowa that signed with Bama last year and said his decision was due to development and NFL potential rather than NIL as Iowa had put together a "better" NIL package for him

Can’t wait until we’re in that position. Shouldnt be long if trend continues. But starts with getting enough big fish now to get over the hump and just win baby.

Seems like UGA, Bama, OSU and Clemson are having no difficulties landing multiple 5*.

Always a possibility that programs that are proven (and I don’t mean from 15-20 years ago, but recently) might not have to commit to *as much* NIL as a Tennessee. All of those programs have a lot of recent success. Vols have 1 good season. Would make sense if it took UT more money than those schools to land same players.

Exactly. Tennessee has to commit more in terms of incentive (financial incentive) because they can't point to the kind of recent on-field and NFL Draft success as Clemson, UGA, Alabama, and Ohio St. Different tactics for different situations. That shouldn't be alarming, nor surprising.

Tell season ticket holders you will give a 15% discount if they can show Spyre donations. LOL!!!

The problem is that they would not be able to support that bureaucracy that is called an athletic department if you cut their budget.

Texas is going to raise the financial bar when they join the SEC next season.

Per Blake Toppmeyer, they trail only Ohio State in financial revenue.

Oklahoma is 12th in the financial wars.
