Life has never been a level playing field for everybody. All we can do is try our best, people have overcome that didn’t have nothing. Some blow every advantage they ever had. Life liberty and the pursuit of happiness doesn’t guarantee a equal start. We must make the most of our opportunities, earning something is much more rewarding than being handed something. GBOThere SHOULD be I agree.
But is everything a level playing field from birth for everybody? Another thing all together.
The buzz: Williams Nwaneri is a five-star defensive lineman out of Lee’s Summit (Mo.) with national offers. He is not one that loves the spotlight being a top recruit brings, so he is keeping his recruitment fairly quiet. Colorado had him on campus for the spring game. He has visited numerous other schools the last seven weeks and two of those were Oklahoma and Tennessee. Those two have pulled ahead, according to sources. It looked to be Oklahoma and then everyone else a couple of months ago, but the Vols have joined the Sooners at the top.
One source feels Tennessee may have a slight advantage as well. His most recent visit to Knoxville made a strong impression on Nwaneri. Official visits to Norman and Knoxville will be major factors in what is expected to be a summer decision. Other official visits will be taken. Tennessee has some real momentum in the Midwest, and Nwaneri is a five-star they are now making Oklahoma work a little harder for.
This. I am really hoping this goes well. It could make a gigantic impact.Changing the topic.... tonight and tomorrow could drastically change the trajectory of Vol recruiting depending on how many guys go in the first 3 rounds. It would be ideal to have 3 tonight and two go in the 2nd round to immediately sell the NFL potential to all the top prospects we're on. It's one of the last pieces needed to help snag a top 5 type class.
