'24 MO WR Ryan Wingo (Texas commit)

I couldn't figure that one out either. Ladd McConkey is pretty good but that's about it.
Lovett is very good. RaRa is streaky but solid. Arian Smith is insanely fast and is a great deep threat as well. Georgia has a good WR core right now, they just aren't necessarily recruiting the high school ranks that well there

Dominic Lovett and Arian Smith are NFL caliber WRs. Whether they’re showcased to that level in college is TDB, but they’re legit. Rara thomas is also a guy that could be an impact player for them. McConkey is probably their 4th best WR. They have so much talent at WR that they weren’t concerned when AD Mitchell transferred to Texas, and he’s likely a day 2 draft pick if he stays healthy

Ladd is the only one who has done anything. Arian Smith is usually injured 75% of the time, and I'll believe the transfers put up numbers when I see it. They run a pro style offense that apparently is pretty hard for guys to pick up and requires a lot of blocking. Guys generally need 2-3 years in their system to even get on the field. Advantage UT with WR's.

Dominic Lovett was top 3 in the SEC in receiving yards as a sophomore with mediocre QB play. He is pretty good. There's a reason everyone and their brother wanted him when he entered the portal

Yeah, just not sure he does much there this year. It seems to take guys awhile to learn their offense and block well enough to get on the field. Kirby will play his veterans who know the playbook and can block for Bowers and the running backs.

Their last transfer WR was Lawrence Cager from Miami and he had the best season of his career. He was only at UGA for one year. So the only sample size you could be coming from for WRs would be high school kids and yeah obviously it's going to take some time to get on the field for the b2b national champions coming from high school

Cager had 476 yards on 33 catches. That's not the kinda big numbers I was talking about.

Was the best season of his career. Only transfer wideout that they have landed before this offseason. Cager wasn't doing anything Lovett was and was a one-dimensional role player so you can't really compare the two. So I don't know where you're getting the notion that traditionally under Kirby it has taken longer to adjust as a transfer wideout

Are we taking Lovett over Squirrel White?

McKonkey over Keyton?

Rara over Bru?

Then there's our 4th guy in Thornton who might be the most talented.

Webb is a 6' 4 runs like a dear an suprisingly shfity.
Leacock and Seldon are guys that most teams in the SEC are going to create game plans for just to get them involved as freshman.

@BelieveTheHeup93 , i do admit that I forgot about Lovett and Rara. Mostly Lovett definitely boosts their WR room.

But still...not as good as Tennessee's and watch out for A&M too.

Your comparisons are a little off since you’re comparing different types of WRs. I’d probably go
Smith > Squirrel
Lovett > Keyton
Rosemy-Jacksaint < Bru
Rara = Thornton
Ladd > Webb

Taking Arian smith over squirrel is outrageous. Squirrel had more receiving yards last year than Arian smiths entire career

I didn't say they have a better room than us. I would take McConkey over Keyton tho

Georgia is going to be in contention for every recruit in the country. We just have to continue to improve and our WRs need to start having success in the league to close this one out. We need VJJ to have a good year in Chicago this season and Hyatt and Tillman to have solid rookie campaigns

Does Chicago have a QB that can actually throw besides Fields? He is terrible.

Arian smith’s ranking shot up drastically when was trending to uga. Dude was a burner outta hs and a 3* until his track times came out. This was the time where 247 posters would heavily call out “evaluators” for fluctuating rankings based on where a prospect would/would not be going to school. It was years ago, I don’t remember the name, but one of the 247 ranking guys tried to pushback and tried to validate his huge rating increase by indicating he had an updated fast track 100m time. Smith was severely overrated coming outta hs. I remember this recruiting situation fondly bc I was flabbergasted that his rating skyrocketed during the spring semester when nothing was happening but hs track & field.

They don't have receivers who put up big numbers period. They haven't had a 1,000 yard receiver in 20 years. I don't see that streak ending this year and I don't know how they have the "best WR corps in the SEC" as Believe the Heup said without someone putting up those kind of numbers. Certainly 476 yards from a transfer isn't going to move the needle.

Perhaps the truth is finally being revealed. BelieveTheHeup is a puppy fan. That is why he’s constantly sniping at Heupel and our coaching staff.

Webb had barely played. Saying Ladd is better is unfair. Smith isn’t better than Squirrell. Lovett over Keyton? Shaky. While Lovett had more yards overall, Keyton had a better yards per average and more TDs. Lovett had 846 on 56 receptions. Keyton had 562 on 31 receptions. Keyton avg was 18. So let’s do some math.

Let’s give Keyton 56 receptions just like Lovett. Using Keytons average that would mean 450 more receiving yards. Which would put him way above Lovett. I think Lovett is really good. But let’s be honest, his only competition on the team was a true FR in Luther Burden. Keyton is a better WR.

Dude your takes keep getting worse. The staff has raved over Conyers when you dogged him. It’s wild how much you question this staff.

Lovett was going to play in the slot had he come to UT.

Smith over White is very silly regardless.
I wouldn't even take Lovett over White.
Rara doesn't = Thornton.

Ladd is probably their #2 guy easily and I'm still not taking him over Keyton.
