'24 MO WR Ryan Wingo (Texas commit)

we will be fine i'm sure but it'd be nice to get a commit, for momentum, and to fill some needs. seems like even our locks are turning to find any excuses they can to not go to tennessee.
I ain’t panicking……just sayin the Fountain loss was, let’s just say, unexpected.

Dominic Lovett and Arian Smith are NFL caliber WRs. Whether they’re showcased to that level in college is TDB, but they’re legit. Rara thomas is also a guy that could be an impact player for them. McConkey is probably their 4th best WR. They have so much talent at WR that they weren’t concerned when AD Mitchell transferred to Texas, and he’s likely a day 2 draft pick if he stays healthy
Arian Smith has not even come close to demonstrate that he is capable of being NFL caliber. He has elite speed. Not much else to this point. His production has been very mediocre.

We have had several head to head battles over recruits ourselves. Plus georgia and bama are both going to pull in recruits. All that does is make it harder on us. Would rather them not be successful imo

Hypothetically, Auburn becoming dominant over UGA and splitting with the Gumps is probably ideal for us.

I don't think Lovett or Thomas transferred there to ride the pine. I'm sure they promised targets but I'm not sure it will amount to what they expect.

I hope not. Because on paper UGA has upgraded big time at QB. And that’s scary because they weren’t that far behind us last year in points and yards with Bennett.

It doesn't mean the running game would be just as good. It also doesn't mean just because they play that the production would be there.

Imo Bennett was the perfect fit for that system. He took care of the ball and put them in position to succeed due to good decisions. They honestly may not have upgraded that much if any. Bennett was honestly better than his ranking out of high school. You don't beat out high 4* and 5* out of luck. He put the work in and became a star.

Edit: he became a georgia legend.

I’ll take my chances against a 5-star unproven QB over a 2-time National Champion Heisman Finalist any day.
