'24 MO WR Ryan Wingo (Texas commit)

By losing easily our best one and not replacing him? Pearce and/or Josephs would have to take a huge step forward for that

I rewatched the Bama game this weekend. He didn’t do any thing that stuffed the stat sheet, but Josephs made Bryce’s life a living hell on 4-5 plays. Not saying it means jack for this year, but I’m optimistic.

I mean it definitely means something. He has a lot of potential, he just has to get some moves to mix it up so the tackle has to stay guessing. Pearce just has to put it all together

Young was good his first year too. Just had the eligibility thing which sidelined him for a bit and then he had to work into a rhythm mid season
How’d he get that way? Wasn’t great in high school. Almost like it took some regular playing time…at the prep level. These two got that x10 with reps at the SEC level.

True but as I said he will have more firepower across the board. Not just running backs.
Yeah I understand that but they also had a couple NFL caliber receivers on the 2014 roster and I think the running backs they had back then are better than what they have currently. Back then they had Chubb, Gurley, Michel, McKenzie. Todd Monken always had a rep of being a great OC. Not saying Bobo is hot garbage but just that Monken is better imo.

I.E. I don’t expect their offense to be terrible but I don’t think it will be as potent as it was with Monken either. I absolutely think they’ll miss him but with Bobo I think they wouldn’t have to overhaul the offense so it’ll be a smoother transition.

Are you sure that murray was qb in 2014?
Are you really sure aj green was on the roster in 2014?
Both were gone at that point.

Yes, but he was OC from 2007-2014. And they still had a bunch of left over talent. Let's not act like Bobo had UGA balling out with mediocre talent or that it somehow was worse than what they've had recently.

There damn sure ain't anybody more mediocre than Stetson Bennett and Monken worked wonders with him. I think you'll see a pretty significant decrease in offensive production now that Monken is gone.

Five-star recruitments that have the potential to go all the way to signing day offer a lot of intrigue. That’s exactly what I think we are going to get with St. Louis University (Mo.) wide receiver

Ryan Wingo
. Things seem to be very wide open for the wideout, even through June official visits. So far, he’s taken a trip to Georgia(June 2) and Michigan (June 9). There are still trips planned to Texas on the weekend of June 16 and Missouri on the weekend of June 23.

Wingo doesn’t seem to have any favorites and did tell me that he plans to take his recruitment to signing day. He’d like to take in some game-day atmospheres at his top schools. If he sticks to that plan, we could be looking at a heavyweight fight until the end for his signature. Don’t discount the chances of another team swooping in, either, now that prospects can take unlimited official visits. Buckle up, college football fans.

Since recruits can take unlimited official visits, why wouldn't they all? We have all seen the post they share on IG, Twitter etc. They get treated like Kings and get all kinds of free swag. I may be wrong. Do they get to keep the swag?

Because most (99%) won't be afforded that opportunity. Schools are still limited by the number of OVs they can use, even if the restriction on how many a kid can take has been removed.

There are a handful of kids that will get an opportunity to OV anywhere they want, anytime they want. And kids have schedules, too. They can't travel every weekend throughout the summer and fall to take 15 OVs, and frankly, they probably get bored with a lot of the pomp and circumstance when it's so readily available and loses its new car smell. You hear that a lot in interviews, that kids just grow tired of the recruiting process over time.

I don't think his disagreement stems from how good their OL is but moreso your assessment of the talent on our DL.
This. I like our DL but we don't have a big time pass rusher or enough talent to consistently win the LOS against Georgia's OL IMO. We have a lot of good parts, especially with the down lineman, but we need a premier edge rusher to take it to the next level imo

And I'm saying we may have that.

Unless we do and you haven’t realized it?
