Why don't you just find another team to root for in the off season. You bring nothing but negativity to this forum
not considering a victory over Kentucky as monumental is bringing negativity?
If that's your criteria, why don't you go root for another team. Kentucky needs fans after looking at the stand last night. ETSU is building a team. Go cheer for another school that doesn't put a premium on being successful.
Wow. Our team breaks a 4-game winning streak with an SEC win on the road and all the whining negavols come out and argue for why we shouldn't be happy about that? I am sorry that some of you have to search so hard for reasons to be miserable in your lives. I hope Santa brings you a puppy.
I guess it's all in what you define as a negavol. I consider accepting mediocrity as "monumental" to be negative, thus you and the OP are negavols. See how that fan card can be played both ways? Fun, isn't it?
Call this a "monumental" win for Butch if you like, but this is not a monumental win for the Vols. If Butch had lost this team to a degree that they laid down and quit last night, then it would have shown he wasn't the man for the job. Hell, I think I could have motivated(not saying coached) this team to a victory last night. Simple future fortune should have helped motivate a lot of the seniors. This was their last chance to show NFL scouts any film of their play, and they want that because a lot of these seniors still hold dreams of being undrafted free agents. Self preservation is a great motivator.
And if Butch actually considers this a "monumental" win, I hold serious doubts about his future here. When you're the coach of Tennessee, monumental wins in football come from beating teams named Alabama and Florida, not KY, and not Vandy. When you accept mediocrity, you've already admitted defeat.
Can we all agree to the following in no particular order:
1. Florida sucks
2. Alabama sucks
3. Saban the elf coached a poor game against Auburn
4. Kiffin got fired
5. Dooley got fired
And last but not least
7. BETTER DAYS ARE AHEAD!
Merry Christmas!
We can agree on everything other than #7 which nobody can predict unless you have a crystal ball to see the future?
Unfortunately that is the is the only thing in your list that actually matters.
