Same kind of MAC average that began the season against WKY and S ALA.

yeah, I guess my only thing is they appeared to turn a corner in October, then Worley went down and so did the season and I don't just mean Dobbs' poor play. The entire team, offensive, defensive and ST all went backwards after Worley's injury. That's either very telling of Worley's actual impact on the team or a sign of bad coaching.

Any win these days should be considered Monumental, after the last 8 years and 3 losing seasons in a row. UT won 2 SEC games this year, that's 1 more than the past 2 years in which we only won 1 SEC game each year....brick by brick by brick

a win against Kentucky is never monumentual

All you guys posting the same thing "a win against Kentucky is never monumental" like a bunch of drones please read and comprehend my post. For Butch Jones it is monumental because IMO he would never have recovered from a loss to Kentucky e.g. Derek Dooley. I believe this gives him a chance.

If it was ever in question that he would lose to Kentucky, then he's the wrong guy, anyway. It sure as hell isn't monumental to beat Kentucky, aside from the fact that some have decided to lower their expectations to such a minimal level so as to "support" the coaches.

Hart's the one giving him a chance, and his success on the recruiting trail

Wow. Our team breaks a 4-game winning streak with an SEC win on the road and all the whining negavols come out and argue for why we shouldn't be happy about that? I am sorry that some of you have to search so hard for reasons to be miserable in your lives. I hope Santa brings you a puppy.

My expectations this year were 6-6 and go to a bowl. I don't think Jones did a good job of instilling confidence in his freshman quarterback. But, he apparently did last night because in the second half Dobbs looked like a different quarterback-i.e. he didn't go into a shell. Jones was not my first choice but maybe he can get it done. I think if he doesn't go to a bowl next year the heat will really be turned up. I expect 6-6 next year and 8-4 year three. Yes those are lowered expectations because I used to expect us being in championships.

Who's saying it isn't good to win? Acting like beating Kentucky is a "monumental" accomplishment or reason for celebration is utterly ridiculous.

"Monumental" is an incredible overstatement, it but ending the season with a win is never a bad thing.

...don't believe that?

Then consider the train of misery that would have followed a loss, last night.

Prove your point genius.

You want to give credit for

1. the team not quitting

and

2. beating Kentucky

You call this "monumental". I say it's the bare minimum expectation. Maybe we can hand out cookies and blue ribbons for this great accomplishment.

The fact that you think I'm an idiot for this and you believe that you're making some kind of profound statement tells me all I need to know about your particular level of genius.
