More Climate BS...

Damn. I don't wish anyone lost their home. What part of "Yes, it is disgusting" did you not understand? It was literally my first words
I think I understand clearly. Its disgusting but you like the indirect call out. The call out makes the disgusting tolerable.
Look, you like and post what you want. I'm a free speech kinda guy. I was just surprised, that's all.
I ascribe a higher expectation to some posters. You were one of those.

Twist that knife real good if you want.

Sorry you feel that way

I think it's wrong to use a disaster event to make fun of people with a different point of view and/or score political points.
Politicians fear-monger. People are easily controlled when scared.
Natural events like drought and hurricanes are big news when occurring. It's used as evidence of the calamity ahead. But no one goes back later once the news cycle and fear mongers are satiated.
Remember the unprecedented drop in water level for lake Mead? Remember all the dire predictions? Guess where the water level is now?
Hurricanes suck. Their damage is immense. But they also bring a significant amount of water to the Southeast of America.

None of what we are witnessing can be adequately assessed because our timeline is much too narrow.

I'm doing my PhD in astrophysics, but never learned much about circuits, so I had to come to the VNPF Engineering community for this one... In S5:E1 of Breaking Bad, they build a circuit with 21 car batteries in series, connected to an electromagnet. Walt says to "put 21 more batteries in parallel to up the Amperage." So, can someone explain what's going on? Wouldn't adding those 21 additional batteries in series increase the current by increasing the voltage? And how does putting batteries in parallel increase the total current, since the total voltage is still the same? I've tried googling this and cannot quite find the answers I'm looking for! Thanks so much in advance for the help hahahaha
So assuming this is a serious question, by putting the batteries in parallel you double the current capacity while maintaining the same operating voltage. By putting in series you double the voltage while keeping the current the same. As to delivered power, Watts, they both deliver the same power.

Anybody lose their home or property today from the global warming hoax passing through the Southeast? Don't worry, that socialism you decried yesterday will be there for you tomorrow.
How about the global warming hoax of 100 years ago that they are comparing the high water mark to, cat lady?

Stay classy, Cruella 🤡

I have friends who barely made it to safety.
I have friends I haven’t heard from, where cell service is out, internet is out, and emergency services are offline.

Lives and livelihoods are destroyed.

The amount of devastation from this storm is catastrophic.

You know who else will be there? Friends, neighbors, family, church relief organizations, civic groups.

I would hope you, too would stand with those who have lost so much.

I hope you will take a moment to reflect on the callousness of your post in your cheap attempt at a message board “like”, and maybe even think your post worthy of an apology.

I have much more I could say, but I think I have said enough.

You are absolutely right. I have checked historical records way back and can find no mention of any of these “Hurricane” storms anywhere in human history. It is now completely proven that the occurrence of this new “Hurricane” event shows that humanity has irreparably broken the weather and doomed us all to a future of dark suffering.

Oh, and no serious conservative has any problem with government assistance after natural disasters. (Although please note Just how much of the aid (especially in terms of workers) going into the impact area is charity). In fact, that IS one of the core responsibilities of government and is not „socialism“. We gladly pay our taxes in exchange for basic safety. Handing out checks to someone to pay them because they took out more student debt than they could afford or because their great great great grandfather was a slave IS socialism.
So once again, take your straw man and red herrings and move to a place that implements your utopian fantasies. I hear both Venezuela and Cuba are very nice this time of year. Heck, you don’t even need a passport. Check out Kalifornia. Just don’t forget your poop map.

Do you have anything else to say? Like….an apology?

The more I see images, the more I see pleas, the more my FB feed is full of people seeking help for stranded loved ones or info on those whose fate is unknown…

Would you apologize now?

I want to believe you have it in you.

Prove me right.

Listen, I got relatives affected by this too. I'm not making fun of the severity of what happened. I'm drawing light to the fact that most on this board have no issue with climate change - and in fact poo poo its existence - when it doesn't affect them. Trump humself said it's a good thing because it means more waterfront properties. I also know that those affected will take the help the government provides them in their time of need (as they should - that's what government is there for). But when that need disappears most will be right back to decrying the "socialism" of trying to help people in need. I wish 3/4 of this board would wake to the fact that climate change is not a hoax or BS (which is why I dropped my comment in this thread), and having government there to help you when stuff like this happens is what you want in a modern state.
