If it’s Milton moving forward this team will be lucky to beat anyone other then Vandy in the SEC. Milton has had three years in college to get better, yet he is still flat footed dropping back, lacks any touch on a pass, and literally watched a defensive lineman run right at him and did nothing, but fumble the football. After the first game where he struggled he came off as arrogant saying he can do it all, but his game play has revealed that was a lie.Good example of one team having an experienced QB vs one that doesnt.Pitt didnt have the talent to keep up in most other positions.
And yes, the boys didnt quit. Defense got gassed at the end, expectedly and the INT killed it.
I still see the team improving, but they gotta clean up some penalties. Was a bit surprised at the discipline issues in 2nd qtr, even with our patchwork team.
But you'd be a fool to think this game was a gimme.
Heupels got a QB issue. His decision for this position will make or break his career at TN.
Right now, I hope we get Milton back, yep, Milton so he can get better. If Heupel can at least get him serviceable down the stretch. The back half of the season may look good.
BTW, the TN boys (im talking TN recruits, played well in this game) love it!
Disagree. Less talent at UT since I don’t know 70s.I've seen a lot of heart over the last 15 years. I saw a lot of heart when Tennessee won at Auburn a few years ago. I saw heart when Tennessee played Alabama to a near stand-still in 2009. I saw heart when Tennessee rallied to beat Indiana in that bowl game a few years back.
Heart is not the issue. Heart has never been the issue.
He made a few terrible decisions but i'll give him a chance.Unhappy that we lost, but 100% agree. This football team looks so much better than last season!
We don't have depth. We don't have a great QB. But we played a very good football team (with a QB who could be on an NFL roster right now) with heart and energy. This is a totally different team and I'm buying into Heupel more and more.

LOL. One thing that will never change about VolNation:
If even one thread is anything other than 100% negative following a loss, somebody will post "Moral Victory U." ... even when no one else has actually called it a moral victory.
It was an issue in 2017, and from the 2nd half of the Kentucky game on last season. Having said that, the most important issues are instability and horrific play from the quarterback position.I've seen a lot of heart over the last 15 years. Just cheer for them. I know a lot of Dawgs fans. They’re an ok group. No pressure as a fan base, no real aggravation, some bragging rights…. Definitely a team for the weak hearted to cheer for.Georgia sure has a lot of heart against UAB. It would be nice to have someone that could complete or even catch passes like that.
