Oh there a number of plot developments that were rather silly.
1-Jolie surviving the fall from the tower.
2-The initial rift between the deputy and her. The death of the Sheriff.
3-The hit man at first we’re portrayed seriously but then the whole chase scene with Jolie, the boy and the deputy and his wife developed into a laughingstock event which inckuded the improbable fire as a major plot point.

I looked at the reviews before seeing the movie. Many noted it was good fun but had major plot holes or developments which you had to ignore. I knew this going in but I like the watching movies in a theater environment and I thought it was the best option available.
I’m sure if I was 16 I would if liked the movie better but my approach to what is quality movie making is now different than when I was younger. But you know , to each his own. 😬.
It was a waste of time and money IMO. I almost walked out halfway thru which is something I’ve only done a couple of times in my life.

I won't go see it. I'm not stupid enough to read negative reviews about it but go watch it anyway just because I like a theatre setting. Lol, that's like, well stupid. But if I did, I wouldn't come here and cry about wasting my money doing something I was warned about in the first place while insulting others in the process.

But hey, to each their own.

Saw it tonight. Very good. 8/10 sounds right. I'd give the 1st one a 9/10 or 10/10

Army of the Dead. 4/10

There is a great film hiding in it ruined by terrible direction and writing. It could have been so good. I really wanted to like this movie.

Has a great cast. The cast was ruined by the plot and forced drama. They never seem like they show their true potential. It's almost as if after movie was done filming they decided to go back and show Bautista is capable of dramatic acting and shove it in any way possible. Way too many plot holes from a questionable love interest that should have been written to show from the beginning, developed and erased in mere seconds to dialogue that never amounts to anything and skipped over like it was never said. Character development is near non existent. Characters that you are supposed to care about but they only get a minute of screen time even though they pay a huge part at the end. Certain aspects left unexplained and the only way to find out what they mean is from Google search. The visuals were decent besides the overuse of close up shots with the background completely out of focus. The writing is so bad you see fault in every scene. If this was a low budget movie, it would have been acceptable, but this was a huge budget movie, even 4/10 is questionable.

I'm sorry but Zack Snyder is a terrible writer/director. The only good movie he's done is Dawn of the Dead. He's rode the success of 300 and Watchmen far too long. That's why all the DC films suck. The worst Marvel movie is better than the best DC movie by a long shot (after Nolan) and Snyder is to blame. He ruined this film as well.

Those Who Wished Me Dead

Solid film all the way through. Nice seeing Angelina Jolie step back in the big stage and nice little nod to Tomb Raider with the pick axe scene. Definitely worth a watch.

I’d probably give it a 6/10 but it was entertaining. Much better than I expected.
