Seems like I chose the wrong movie. Should have watched the Jolie flick over Army of the Dead. Really had a lot of potential, with the alpha strain and cast. But Snyder threw a wet blanket on it.
I really hope DC goes down the "Injustice: Gods Among Us" path. Zack Snyder alluded to it a ton in the Justice League Director's Cut. Even in the original there is a nod to it. If you don't know what Injustice is, it is a fantastic comic book series that is a videogame too (not sure which came first, that videogame or the comics).
Long story short: The plot centers around Superman's belief that Batman caused Lois Lane to get killed. This sets Superman off (who thinks that since he is the most powerful being on Earth, he should make the rules) and he and Batman become enemies and eventually lead different factions of superheroes and keep battling each other. Harley Quinn is a huge player on Batman's side and the Watchmen get involved as well. Really great alternate reality storyline and I think DC should go that route.
The conjuring 3: 7/10
Not as good as first two, not as creepy as first two. But we still enjoyed it. Patrick Wilson and Vera farmiga are as good as ever together.

The Catcher Was A Spy 2018 7/10 The Catcher Was a Spy (2018) - IMDb
Paul Rudd stars as former major league catcher Moe Berg. Fascinating man, Princeton grad, spoke 7 languages, and a spy during WWII. Film was a little uneven but left me wanting to learn more about the man. Also stars Guy Pearce, Paul Giamatti, and Jeff Daniels.
Just saw Fatherhood on Netflix. I gotta say it was a fairly good movie. I don't think I've ever seen Kevin Hart play a serious role before. Yeah there was some laughs, but overall he pulled off the seriousness very well.

If you like slightly paranoid/cultish time-warping movies - I'd highly recommend Resolution and The Endless. They seem to be in the same universe, though the directors have said they aren't directly tied. Really cool and unique concepts in some ways. Same director as Synchronic, if you've seen that, another a good movie to watch.
