The Paper Tigers. Low expections going in, but it really was entertaining. 8/10

The Ice Road. Meh. Liam Neeson's day seems done. Found my self rolling my eyes at some of the fight scenes. At one point, both my wife and I yelled "oh come on" at the same time. You'll know the scene when you see it. Anyway, I've been a fan of Liam Neeson, but he's obviously in the Nic Cage phase of his career. You'll kill an hour and a half, but the movie is very average and forgettable. 5/10

While Liam can't seem to escape his pigeonhole...I actually find Nic Cage's recent stream of scripts pretty interesting. It's like a bunch of b-film weird shiz that somehow works and, well, are maybe meant for psychedelic trips. They're definitely interesting and unique. He's leaning into the weird...wish more would take that leap. The movie world needs more weird and less hollywood tripe. Especially once past your prime, just go ahead and go full Danny Devito.

Gaia, a South African environmental horror movie. Beautiful visuals and fairly interesting story. You will not want to eat mushrooms for a while. 7/10

The Raid II (Indonesian film) is the peak of ultra violence. I had to look away like a dozen times. It was the inspiration for John Wick 2 & 3 and a couple of the characters even crossed over in 3. Rumor has it 4 will do a lot more of that. I love Keanu but these guys are so much better. The timing of the fight choreography is on another level.

Outside the Wire - 6/10 fairly solid military/sci-fi flick starring Anthony Mackie. Has a Training Day feel to it.

Message Man - 6/10 slow to develop and satisfyingly violent. Your patience will be rewarded with the exploding $100 bills scene.

Shadow in the Clouds - 2/10 WWII-era horror movie starring Chloe Grace Moretz. Decent sfx can’t make up for an awful script. It’s ultimately a movie about female empowerment but keep your expectations very low.

What platform is this one on?

Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard-5/10.
Better than I expected. Ryan Reynolds, Selma Hayek, & Samuel Jackson had good comedic chemistry.

Profile-6/10. based on a true story. Not as suspenseful as the trailer made you believe but still good.

Those Who Wish Me Dead-5/10. Also much better than I expected (my expectations were very low but still).

Sorry for blowing this thread up. My wife and I have Regal Unlimited. We purchased a year (black friday deal) at the end of 2019 and we're very excited to finally be using it.

Outside the wire was pretty good. Good twist.

7 Pounds. I've seen it once before but awhile ago. I'd give it a 6.5. It's not great but Smith and Dawson did well together.
