He's not wrong, and make no mistake, that's the pitch for kiffin... This is a business destination, he gets that, accepts it and is no longer interested in selling you why ole miss is better than school X. Mercenaries welcome.

He's just not lying about it.

Most kids still care about the school. Sure a few are looking for now. But not the majority. GBO

That's a big win for ole miss, and a loss that I'm ok with.

Kiffin and their boosters weren't going to let top tier talent leave the state under the guise of greener pastures and more money elsewhere. The precedent would be too costly for Ole Miss as a program.

Also, never underestimate these pissing matches that collectives will inevitably get into.

Kind of interesting to think about Auburn vs Ole Miss recruiting battles because there are still plenty of people around Oxford that can speak to Freeze's misdeeds while he was at Ole Miss, to stand in stark contrast of the preacher image/message that Freeze douses recruit families with.

OR was that a public message to the boosters. Considering when he said that and this was an apparent late surge by Ole Piss, maybe Lane knew exactly what he was doing….

Actually, it mostly supports the poster's point, we'd still have 4 fewer commitments than them, but would be moved within striking distance of their point total provided we added 4-5 further commitments of good quality.
