'24 MS EDGE Jamonta Waller (Florida commit)

Sometimes wingspan can be just as if not more important than height. Plus he could still grow an inch or two. Byron Young was only 6’3 and I think Corey Vereen was only 6’2 also. Of course we were running a different gap scheme with him and Barnett
Cory Vereen is actually a really good reference.

Would be shocked to see him end up at Penn State just based off history. A recruit that actually has options in Mississippi has not ended up outside of the SEC/Florida school/Oregon in a long time

I would at least try Waller at MLB first to see if he could make the adjustment. He could be a beast at that position with his measurables.
Yeah I think he’s more of a stand up off the LOS pass rusher. He’s probably best suited as a WILL in a 4-3 or 3-3-5 defense. I guess we technically run a variation of a 3-3-5 since the LEO is considered a LB spot. Our DL lines up differently than a traditional stack defense though

I don't think we've had the personnel to truly be multiple like they'd like, but we've seen glimpses here and there.

Do you mean WLB in the 3-4?
Because in the 4-3 it would be guys like Arion Carter or Jalen Smith there at sam and will.

I think the lack of having a true 0 nose outside of Thomas is what’s hurt them. They’re recruiting a lot of versatile DL, but landing a true NG is the key to unlocking the multiple fronts they’re wanting to run

They really appear to be recruiting in the opposite direction of a true NG, and trying to bring in long athletic guys to play on the interior as well. I think with the attacking style they want to have, they primarily want to be able to blitz and stunt out of multiple sets in order to give QBs and coordinators headaches and create confusion.
