'25 MS QB Deuce Knight (Auburn commit)

Not worried about that.

Heupel is a lefty and I’m sure he knows how to adjust the offense for a lefty
Yeah, I'm not super concerned about it. Like I said, just something to consider as it requires adjustments across the entire offense. Only something I'd consider if everything else was equal between Mac and Deuce and you had to choose.

this is right. george's sister is at ut and mom went to ut. you get george if you go all in imo

Yeah but here is the beautiful problem. Do say Deuce wants to commit sometime this year. But GMac isn’t ready to. Well what if Heupel tells Deice to wait and he doesn’t want to and commits somewhere else. Then when it comes time for GMac to commit, he picks another school. In that scenario you lose your top QB targets.

Judging from the vast improvement seen from Deuce this summer vs last season, he's going to get a major bump in the rankings. I honestly don't see him being any lower than #4 after this season, but likely to end up top 3 in that QB class. Like you said, the rankings are solely about public perception. Here's my take.... If you remove the whole in- state thing, which one would you choose if they had subpar talent around them? Which has the best chance to take over a game on pure ability? I have no doubts that Heupel could run a high scoring offense and win 10+ games with either. The question is which gives you the best chance against a team that is superior to yours from a talent perspective?
I’m also partial to a talent who’s amiable to sitting and developing for at least a season or two. With Nico and Merklinger in line front of whoever’s next, I see Deuce responding better.

Deuce

I don't say that lightly. I will always want a QB who can make the throws, above all else...but, now days, he HAS TO be able to make a play, either way...Bryce Young as my example.

If Deuce can continue getting better spinning it, I believe he's more dynamic; although GM can take off from pressure, too, whenever he has to.
Bryce was always a polished passer first, and second. Runs/scrambles came third with him. His most rushing yards was 185 last year, the year before it was 0....

if you want Bryce Young you want a passer.

This scenario is definitely a minor concern.

I don't think they risk losing Deuce unless they're at least 90% sure about GMac committing. Macintyre may have the highest floor in the class. Deuce may have the highest ceiling.

Yes, I have said that a couple of times now...someone who can make the throws, above all else; however, whenever the throw isn't there, a QB that can improvise and make a play, either by taking off, or making a throw on the run, outside the pocket...THAT'S why I would want a Bryce Young.

Based on what exactly? You know these two guys well?

It’s an OPINION, bruh. More my take McIntyre being further along development wise and hence less patient.
We don’t have a bare cupboard anymore. Any QB recruit moving forward is likely going to have to sit and learn for at least a year or two. You obviously prefer Deuce. I don’t care one way or the other, but you have no knowledge of either guy that would indicate that one would be more accepting of waiting their turn to see the playing field than the other guy. You like Deuce, so you’re ascribing good qualities to him.

You managed to get my take completely wrong. There’s “obviously” not a single quote from me that supports your declaration that I prefer Deuce over McIntyre. Do you even need a message board when there’s Word documents to fill with YOUR “knowledge “? I call bolsch on your “I don’t care one way or the other.” My opinion “obviously” got you worked up…overly. 😏

You're FOS as usual. You don't know either kid. You now claim to have no preference. Yet, it is your opinion (apparently based on absolutely nothing) that Deuce would handle sitting and waiting his turn better than Mac. I am not a fan of people making crap up and speading unsubstantiated narratives about kids.

...and FYI, I've already gone on record in this thread saying that while I trust Heupel to make the right move, I would take Deuce's commitment now if he's ready.

So, if I interpreted this wrong, what did you mean by this statement, and what are you basing it on (which was my initial question to you)?

“I see Deuce responding better.”? It’s an OPINION. The “I see” part is a dead giveaway. What part of it indicates INSIDE KNOWLEDGE?
