Mueller Report Imminent

Dang Luther you just love to prove the stereotype don't you?

It doesn't matter what the Dem base is looking for, you guys are going to vote Dem regardless of what they do, what they say or who they run. They don't need to worry about your vote but you and those like you are not going to bring them the senate, WH or even a continued majority in the house. They need to be appealing to the center and right now they are doing everything except that.

Like the repubs trying to take back the house are appealing to the center? Like repubs who nominated Trump were appealing to the center? That type of appeal?

They are more appealing than the radicalism we see from the Dems. The Dems have to overcome the failure of ACA so it's a little bit more of a challenge for them to sell ANOTHER complete overhaul of the healthcare system along with free college AND the appearance that they are lining up in support of illegal aliens. It's a sell job that you are not going to win if you continue down the path you are on.

LOL I am way behind on this thread but this was particularly laughable.

nothing in that is shocking, or illegal. It even establishes that they didn't work together. They both had thoughts that involved the other. Not surprising given the stakes at hand.

you have reached Ras levels of reaching looking for involvement, congrats.

From this article:

THE NATURE OF OUR POLITICAL DISCOURSE is that nobody ever needs to admit error because it is easy to confine oneself to strictly partisan precincts where people are far more interested in hearing what advances their agenda or affirms their beliefs than they are hearing the truth. For that reason, I doubt that anyone who spent the last three years pushing utterly concocted conspiracy theories will own up to it, let alone confront any accountability or consequences for it.

But certain facts will never go away no matter how much denial they embrace. The sweeping Mueller investigation ended with zero indictments of zero Americans for conspiring with Russia over the 2016 election. Both Donald Trump, Jr. and Jared Kushner – the key participants in the Trump Tower meeting – testified for hours and hours yet were never charged for perjury, lying or obstruction, even though Mueller proved how easily he would indict anyone who lied as part of the investigation. And this massive investigation simply did not establish any of the conspiracy theories that huge parts of the Democratic Party, the intelligence community and the U.S. media spent years encouraging the public to believe.

Those responsible for this can refuse to acknowledge wrongdoing. They can even claim vindication if they want and will likely be cheered for doing so.

But the contempt in which the media and political class is held by so much of the U.S. population – undoubtedly a leading factor that led to Trump’s election in the first place – will only continue to grow as a result, and deservedly so. People know they were scammed, that their politics was drowned for years by a hoax. And none of that will go away no matter how insulated media and political elites in Washington, northern Virginia, Brooklyn, and large West Coast cities keep themselves, and thus hear only in-group affirmation while blocking out all of that well-earned scorn.

He was told a sitting president could not be indicted. He said "here's the evidence, it's congresses job."
So by that logic... if that's the case- that there was never any hope of criminal charges- what was the point of a special counsel in the first place? Congress could've investigated him all along.

No! We elected Rs to majorities in the house and senate to do that and they failed miserably so they were voted out. Their base didn't turn out for them because of it.

If the Dems were smart (which is debatable) they would drop the Trump/Russia crap and start flooding the senate with reasonable legislation. They could pass bills lowering the rates in the middle of the tax bracket, restore the non-reimbursed business expense deductions. They could pass some form of reasonable immigration reform that takes away the claim of "the left cares more about illegals than they do you". Stay away from gun legislation and anti-business legislation, bury the medicare for all and free college talk and take the mature statesmen stance on things for the next year and a half. If they just did that for the next 18-20 months they would bury the Rs in both the house/senate, probably defeat Trump and come out of the 2020 elections with complete control.
Shhhh…..be vewy, vewy quiet.

And what signature legislation have they passed?
"Signature legislation"? Think of it as the same as if they were to impeach. They don't have the votes in the Senate and Trump would veto anything good. They passed an election reform bill if you want to count that as signature.
